Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Audio & Transcript – Maybe President Obama has been watching one too many Mayan doomsday shows on the History channel? Because he seems to think that if we pass Paul Ryan’s budget satellites will fall out of the sky, there will be mass hurricanes, kids will no longer be educated, families won’t be able to feed themselves, over 300 Million people will perish… because… of… a… budget. Check out today’s clip for more on the Doomsday Budget.

Mike:  Let’s go back and forth.  You just heard that one from Van Jones.  Listen to this one from Obama.

President Obama:  Maybe when we know that most of today’s middle class jobs require more than a high school degree, we shouldn’t cut education or lay off thousands of teachers or raise interest rates on college loans or take away people’s financial aid.  [Mike:  Killing people, just killing them in the streets]  But that’s exactly the opposite of what they’ve done.  Instead of moderating their views even slightly, the Republicans running Congress right now have doubled down and proposed a budget so far to the right it makes the Contract with America look like the New Deal.

In fact, that renowned liberal Newt Gingrich first called the original version of the budget radical and said it would contribute to right-wing social engineering.  This is coming from Newt Gingrich.  Yet this isn’t a budget supported by some small group in the Republican Party.  This is now the party’s governing platform.  This is what they’re running on.  One of my potential opponents, Governor Romney, has said that he hoped a similar version of this plan from last year would be introduced as a bill on day one of his presidency.  He said that he’s very supportive of this new budget.  He even called it marvelous, which is a word you don’t often hear when it comes to describing a budget.

[end audio clip]

Mike:  Then he goes on to describe that all the cuts that are going to go into effect — let’s go to the doomsday scenario with our fearless dear leader, shall we?

President Obama:  Nearly 10 million college students would see their financial aid cut by an average of more than $1,000 each.

[end audio clip]

Mike:  So that’s $1,000 that the tattooed, pierced-ear, pierced-nose nation wouldn’t have to spend on iTunes downloads, piercings and what have you, and might actually have to go out and do a hard day’s work to pay their own damn way through school.  Boy, talk about a Soviet-style gulag.

President Obama:  There would be 1,600 fewer medical grants, research grants for things like Alzheimer’s and cancer and AIDS.  There would be 4,000 fewer scientific research grants, eliminating support for 48,000 researchers, students and teachers.

[end audio clip]

Mike:  I don’t know what’s more offensive, the idea that science stops or that science starts because government decides to fund it, or that there are currently 48,000 people in the employ of the federal government where there is no constitutional justification for it whatsoever.

President Obama:  Investments in clean energy technologies that are helping us reduce our dependence on foreign oil would be cut by nearly a fifth.

[end audio clip]

Mike:  All right, I just can’t stomach that one, clean energy subsidies.  Wait a minute, subsidy, subsidy, haven’t I heard that before?  Isn’t there a subsidy out there for something called an oil company?  Didn’t I hear that just recently?  Yeah, there’s a subsidy out there for this thing or these entities called oil companies.  Where did I hear that at?  Hold on, I’m thinking.  Oh, I know, I heard it from dear leader Chairman Maobama.  Let’s go through the rest of the doomsday scenario and then we’ll talk about it.

President Obama:  If this budget becomes law and the cuts were applied evenly, starting in 2014, over 200,000 children would lose their chance to get an early education in the Head Start Program.

[end audio clip]

Mike:  Now this is the same program that’s been around since the late 1980’s, early 1990’s, and the same program, I guess, that must be working swimmingly turning out all these little geniuses, right?  Isn’t this the same president and the same member of the current political class that continues to whine incessantly like he’s doing right now about the sorry and pathetic state of the same kids’ education that he’s talking about?  What has Head Start actually done, other than consume tens of billions of dollars over the years?  Translation, there will now be children out in the street who will not be fed and who will not go to Head Start programs where they get their greatest start in life and it will all be the fault of people that don’t want to fund the program.  Some of us are from the school that thinks that maybe the people that bring the kids into the world ought to fund their education.

President Obama:  Two million mothers and young children would be cut from a program that gives them access to healthy food.  [Mike:  So the mothers are going to starve to death now.]  There would be 4,500 fewer federal grants at the Department of Justice and the FBI to combat violent crime, financial crime and help secure our borders.  [Mike:  So the borders are going to be left more porous.]  Hundreds of national parks would be forced to close for part or all of the year.  We wouldn’t have the capacity to enforce the laws that protect the air we breathe, the water we drink or the food that we eat.

[end audio clip]

Mike:  So we all crash and die and burn on our planes.  If you eat food, you get poisoned to death.  If you drink water, you die of cholera.  Gee, is this the great third world backwater burg or what?  Thank God Obama got here to save us all!

President Obama:  Cuts to the FAA would likely result in more flight cancellations, delays and the complete elimination of air traffic control services in parts of the country.

[end audio clip]

Mike:  So the airlines then will stop flying planes, there will be no planes flying, and if there are planes flying, if you get in one, you will probably die in a fiery crash.

President Obama:  Over time, our weather forecasts would become less accurate because we wouldn’t be able to afford to launch new satellites, and that means governors and mayors would have to wait longer to order evacuations in the event of a hurricane.

[end audio clip]

Mike:  Okay, so people are going to die now from hurricanes, tornadoes and other weather systems that move in because the satellites that we have are going to crash to Earth.  They’re probably going to fall in somebody’s backyard.  You left that out, and probably kill some kid who’s out in the backyard swinging on the government-provided swing set, too.

President Obama:  That’s just a partial sampling of the consequences of this budget.

[end audio clip]

Mike:  “Partial sampling of the consequences of this budget.”  Are you getting the message here?  This lunatic is talking about a federal budget that spends almost the same amount of money that his spent.  He is talking about a five percent difference.  I have to go slowly and be careful here because I don’t want people to get confused.  I am not stumping for the Ryan budget.  The Ryan budget is lame.  Can you imagine if I was a member of Congress?  Or let’s just say, can you imagine if the President took Rand Paul’s proposed budget?  AG, how many co-sponsors did Rand have?  Was DeMint one of them?  It was DeMint, Rand, Lee.  Didn’t Johnson jump on board, too?

AG:  I can check that real quick.  I’m not sure if he — he wasn’t one of the initial guys, Lee, DeMint and Rand.

Mike:  Just imagine if he got a hold of Rand’s budget and said, [mocking President Obama] “This is the budget that is being proposed by Republicans.  It’s their budget.  They signed off on it.”  There is a political point to be made here, by the by, ladies and gentlemen.  The political point is, do you see who the President wants to play in the sandbox with?  Is it Ron Paul?  Is it Rand Paul?  Is it people that are really serious?  And I mean serious to the point of dedicating their lives to the study and promotion of reining in the federal monster, the federal leviathan that this man has helped to create and erect as the interminable force that it is.
