Mike: To this story, this is disturbing. People don’t seem to be disturbed by it but it is disturbing. Look at all the attacks that are happening in Europe as of late. It’s almost every three or four days now there’s some ransacking, some raping, some robbing, some murdering, some track massacring, some mass shootings in Europe, and the Europeans just don’t get it. They think it’s Charlie Hebdo. By the way, if I go over to the Twitter feed, #jelesuis, for the priest that was murdered, is that trending? Normandy is. No, it’s not. Remember, after Charlie Hebdo, the porn publication – remember, we’re all Charlie Hebdo now. We’re all a bunch of soft-core or hard-core blasphemous pornographers. That’s the future of Western civilization. Remember, [mocking] “You can’t attack the free press” was the outrage. Where’s PDiddy? Je le suis Charlie Hebdo. Where’s Susan Sarandon and all the rest of them? They’re all in solidarity with porn peddlers. No solidarity, though, with Father, a Roman Catholic priest who was beheaded, Father Jacques Hamel, who was 86 years old. Sixty years in the priesthood.

Where’s your solidarity at, you hypocritical libs? Where is it, you lukewarm Catholics?  You’ll dash out there and go, [mocking] “I’m with her.” Are you with Him? Wouldn’t that be a great hashtag to see trending? How about that for a nice bumper sticker: I’m with Him. Put a little halo over the H. I’d make the bumper stickers, but you people would tell me you’d buy them and they’d be sitting in the back with the other items you people told me you’d buy in the Founders Tradin’ Post. It’s a good thing the stuff we put in there, like these “Exit Stage Right” t-shirts and all that, that they’re not biodegradable. If they were, I would figuratively be having them instead of Popeye’s fried chicken for lunch today. Back to the story. I’m just wondering when the solidarity will arise here. You’d think, right?

Elderly priest, 86, is ‘beheaded’ by two ISIS knifemen shouting Daesh . . . [Mike: Whatever that is. I’ll ask Andrew Bieszad to come on the show tomorrow to explain to us what that is.]

. . . who cut his throat after bursting into a French church and taking nuns . . .

Mike: Folks, this is just a blasphemous outrage. This is not the first time ISIS has gone into a church. You may recall back in 2012 when I was on the old station in the old country, I actually played that story – I don’t think I have it anymore. I played that story of the church that was ransacked in Iraq, I think in Mosul. It was surrounded and the priests, several of the priests and the seminarians that were there were murdered right there in front of the parishioners. Prisoners were taken. There was an armed standoff. It’s not the first time ISIS has found executing Roman Catholic priests is something they do for fun and for jollies, and to kill the infidel.

What I want to know is, this is the second time that I know of here, and this does not include the execution of the – they broke into, it was in Yemen, wasn’t it, where they broke into a convent and executed one of the priests that was over the nuns there and a half a dozen of the nuns. This is becoming a regular occurrence. They take hostages. By the way, you may be wondering: Why did they take hostages? Because some of the orders of old Christendom still exist to ransom hostages, that’s why. In other words, they kill and they maim and they hostage take for profit. The Mercedarians is one of the orders that endures that pays ransom for Christian hostages, as is the Order of the Knights of St. John.

It was around 9 a.m. this morning, French time, when Father Jacques Hamel was believed to have been beheaded during the attack while another hostage is fighting for life in a hospital.

The two attackers were “neutralised” by marksmen as they emerged from the building which is now being searched for priest killed in Franceexplosives. French president Francois Hollande said the men “claimed to be from” ISIS while the terror group has claimed responsibility through its news agency.

There were reports the attackers shouted “Daesh” – an alternative name for ISIS often used by the French government – as they ran into the church while at least one of the men was dressed in Islamic clothing.

It comes as it emerged that the building was one of a number of Catholic churches on a terrorist “hit list” found on a suspected ISIS extremist last April.

Mike: The [unintelligible] regime, that is the Muslim underworld, the [unintelligible] regime of France and of other European countries is now under brazen, bald-faced assault as it was during the ages of faith. Big difference, though. What’s the difference? There is no age of faith. There is no one around, there are few left that are going to stand up and mount crusades against these people. Maybe we should bring back “I’m the Crusader Christ Warned ISIS About” t-shirts. Again, I’d mint a couple dozen of them and put them back into the Founders Tradin’ Post if you people told me that you would purchase them. I promote the Founders Tradin’ Post at MikeChurch.com and all the great books like Humility of Heart and Life of Washington and the story of St. Fernando, El Cid by James Fitzhenry, Chris Ferrara’s books.

There are also reports that one of the attackers was a local resident that was under electronic tag surveillance having been jailed in France for traveling to Syria in 2015. His bail terms allowed him to be unsupervised between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm – the attack happened between 9 am and 11 am.

Pope Francis has expressed his “pain and horror” at the incident with a spokesman saying the Pontiff was appalled by the “barbaric killing” because it happened in a sacred place.

Mike: You better get prepared, Holy Father, because it’s only going to get worse. Mere words and pans that we need to have some sort of dialogue with these maniacs is not going to fix the problem. You must bring Our Lady in all of her might and majesty and her power to bear against this. She has always been sought by Catholic Christians of Europe for her intercession against the Mohammedans. Look it up. Battle of Vienna, Battle of Lepanto, Battle of the Siege of Malta, etc., etc.

[reading]

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby said: “Evil attacks the weakest, denies truth and love, is defeated through Jesus Christ. Pray for France, for victims, for their communities.”

French President Francois Hollande, visiting the scene of the attack, condemned the “vile terrorist attack,” which he said had been carried out by two men who “claimed to be from Daesh” and insisted France needed to fight the war against ISIS “by all means.”

. . . the two Muslim terrorists held the priest and congregation of four – which included two nuns – hostage for almost an hour before being shot as they emerged on to the courtyard of the church. A spokesman for the Interior Ministry in Paris had earlier said that they had crept into the church via a back entrance during a morning service, soon after 9am. The two men seized the priest, two sisters from a local order, and two parishioners. [Mike: It’s equally sad, is it not, that two parishioners were there and listening to and receiving the graces that come from attending the rite of the Holy Mass?]

syrian-refugee-crisis“. . . The area around the church was sealed off, and then armed officers appeared with their weapons. I heard at least a dozen shots.”

“A third nun escaped and raised the alarm, and anti-terrorist officers were on the scene within minutes.”

The siege officially ended at around 11am, following the shooting of the two attackers . . . this morning, security sources said one of the terrorist murderers was a convicted terrorist who was supposed to be living with his parents and wearing an electronic monitor on his ankle.

Mike: Do you think that these people can be dealt with like they’re recidivists? We have to treat them like they treat us. We can either convert them or you can permanently remove them from society. Donald Trump is right. No more Muslim immigrants into the United States. No more Muslim immigrants from countries where Muslims are a majority or Sharia Law is in place. Sorry, that has to be that way.

[reading]

. . . the identities of the two terrorists were already known to the authorities. One, who lived close to the church, left for Syria in 2015 to try and join ISIS, but he was arrested in Turkey. The subject was jailed for terrorist offences

[end reading]

Mike: So you jail them and you warn them and then you turn them back out on an unsuspecting population? Really? Is that the way to deal with this? Folks, I am struggling to find words to describe the imbecility here. Does no one pick a history book up and read? These people cannot be dealt with in the manner in which Western civilization deals with criminals. They don’t buy it. They’re not part of our civilization. That’s why they have Sharia Law.

A number of shots were heard over a period of around 15 seconds as the incidents came to an end.

Eulalie Garcia, who works in a beauty parlour, is on the same road as the church, and told reporters that she knew the priest, who had taught her the catechism as a young girl.

“My family has lived here for 35 years and we have always known him,” she said. “He was someone who was treasured by the community. He was very discreet and didn’t like to draw attention to himself.” [Mike: Poor Father Jacques Hamel. I just cannot imagine this.]

In a statement from Krakow, Poland, where pope Francis was visiting, Lebrun says, “I cry out to God, with all men [Mike: This is Archbishop Dominique Lebrun of Rouen, France. At least the Archbishop of Rouen, France will speak out about this, unlike the Archbishop of Richmond, Virginia, who instead issues platitudes about Tim Kaine.] of good will. And I invite all non-believers to unite with this cry . . . The Catholic Church has no other arms besides prayer and fraternity between men.”

The area around the church remains cordoned off and the old town was out of bounds. The French Police Nationale gave no details about the situation but sent a Tweet urging media not to cross security tape . . .

Saint-Etienne du Rouvray has a population of 30,000 and is around seven miles from Rouen. The incident comes as France is on high alert after a Bastille Day attack that killed 84 . . .

This morning it emerged Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray was one of a number of Catholic churches on a terrorist “hit list” found on a suspected ISIS terrorist . . . [Mike: One of the perps was a Muslim creep named] Sid Ahmed Ghlam, 24 . . . Investigators believe he was a terrorist planning “imminent attacks” in France on the instructions of ISIS leaders. [Mike: That’s why they had the bracelet on him, but they gave him a three-hour window. Good Lord.]

Documents found at his flat and in a search of his computer and telephone, suggested Ghlam was in contact with a French speaker in Syria who had ordered him to carry out attacks on churches.

[end reading]

Mike: I wonder why Catholic churches are the ones being besieged. I, of course, have an answer to the question or I wouldn’t ask it. The answer is, because there is the real presence of the body of Our Lord and the blood of Our Lord contained in the tabernacle. That’s why.
