Critics of Ron Paul Expose Themselves as Constitutional Neophytes

2011 Mike Church

Hi folks its Mike Church with todays Church Doctrine.

They say you have arrived when your critics feel the need to oppose you to help define themselves. Well using that definition, Congressman turned Presidential candidate Ron Paul has indeed arrived. It was just last Sunday that Chris Wallace invited the man once referred to as a gadfly to be on Fox News Sunday. Paul was asked questions about his allegedly controversial positions and he answered them with conviction and clarity, like a man on a mission. Wallace was so overcome with the moment that he confessed that Paul was not to be taken seriously by Chris Wallace, apparently the producers of Fox News Sunday knew better, perhaps now Wallace does too.

Then there was the hysterical claim posted by a Constitutional neophyte named Paul J. ORourke at salon.com Ron Paul Says Founders Ignorant of Constitution. ORourke claimed that the founders legislated national health care schemes paid for by payroll taxes that didnt exist until 1948. This, exclaims ORourke, puts Pauls claim that Medicare is unconstitutional at odds with the Founders. After bored staffers at the Obama administration – supported their buddy with baseless and dubious fairy tales about the Constitution it was time for the real men to weigh in: This reporter and author Tom Woods.

In the span of 2 hours after Woods and I set the HISTORICAL record straight, using more evidence than Mrs Clinton, used to authorize the invasion of Libya, the matter was settled in the eyes of thousands of readers, the ghosts of the Founders and the newly respectable threat to the establishment, Ron Paul.
