The classical education movement is building a living future amid the American deathworks.

I like the term “deathworks” not because I like “death” (as if!) but because death is to be avoided until, at God’s choosing, one’s time has come. It is an accurate characterization of life in the Modern ruins: death is all around us but death cannot claim ultimate victory; only life and the living can.
