Mandeville, LA – Mike Church‘s daily Pile of Prep, Welcome to mikechurch.com’s Pile of Prep, all the materials used to prepare the Mike Church show, 2015 Edition. The moral fallacies we are immersed in continue to grow exponentially e.g. the latest “outrage” over Indiana’s secular attempt to make spiritual life a protected category or “community” with it’s RFRA that has all of Liberadumb abuzz over boycotting allegedly bigoted Indians when the Truth is, Miley Cyrus and Charles Barkley cannot define bigotry, the retreat by Indiana governor Pence is the Bunker Hill of the culture war which is now most decidedly a war; plus other [r]epublican stories used to perform the Mike Church Show on Sirius/XM Patriot channel 125.“This is why, for example, surveying public opinion about moral issues is so important for liberalism, since the act of surveying confirms the thesis that moral issues boil down simply to opinions. But MacIntyre’s observation also shows why, for non-emotivists, such surveys must always issue in a complete non sequitur: one does not abrogate the Ten Commandments by pointing to the number of murders in Detroit, or the divorce rate in Reno, or the decline in church attendance in Peoria.” – Edward Oakes on Alasdair Macintyre’s philosophy
There is a reason why the radical homosexual agenda has become the latest and most loud emotion masquerading as a part of morality. Edward T Oakes looks at the philosophy of Alasdair Macintyre as being largely correct that we have NO morality today because the mere act of showing emotional support toward a sympathetic minority like homosexuals for example. “It is easy also to understand why protest becomes a distinctive moral feature of the modern age and why indignation is a predominant modern emotion . . . . Protest is now almost entirely that negative phenomenon which characteristically occurs as a reaction to the alleged invasion of someone’s rights in the name of someone else’s utility . The self-assertive shrillness of protest arises because . . . protestors can never win an argument : the indignant self-righteousness of protest arises because . . . the protestors can never lose an argument either.”
The Gaystapo has more “bigots” to deal with now that Arkansas has passed their own RFRA similar to the one passed by Indiana. This means that GROWING numbers of people oppose the irreligious agenda being shoved down their throats as what they correctly see as pseudo religion. To illustrate what I have been talking about of late where we cannot even unilaterally define terms, now the term “discriminate” is being used to discredit Christianity.
“The Sunset of The West” is a stirring look into the secular, dystopian future being created right in front of our very eyes with Indiana doomed to become the Bunker Hill or more appropriately, the Watts of this struggle. But we must understand that the battle lines being drawn are tilting the field to the advantage of the promoters of the latest morality fad “homosexuality”. If you cannot see the warning signs of the coming martyrdom, you are not looking through clean glasses but through fogged lenses. That fog will lift and when it does, like in John Carpenter’s The Fog, the stage for massacre will have been set.
The divorce of sex from the responsibility to bring forth children is now complete as the Bunker Hill defeat of Indiana shows. Once, sex was directly linked to the children it produced today, the sinful opposite is promoted and now being legally enforced. “Warning Will Robinson, WARNING, danger approaching!”
Wal-Mart has now run the white and rainbow flags up its corporate flagpole too as the denial of Christ during Holy Week reaches fever, blasphemous pitch.
The NCAA “Final Four”, another pagan ritual that shows the evil presence rooted in most American universities. If the students and faculty connect faith in the 2,000+ year old Magisterium of The Church and “bigotry” in this manner as something to be eliminated, this is the point of “boycotts” after all, that then sets the stage for economic martyrdom in college athletics I have been talking about lately. This doesn’t even cover the damage done to the millions of souls being led into lives of sin
Patrick J Buchanan: What “freedom” is there in Indiana for those who AGREE with the right to practice and defend what Holy Scripture, Christ, God The Father and 8,000 years of practice have taught.
There’s at least 1 liberal that recognizes the danger of the polarizing being done in the name of “gay rights” by attempting to limit the freedom of the Faithful to accept, practice and defend ALL of the Magisterium, not the fast-food like menu some want to impose on civilization.
Nine “CEO’s” in Indiana choose profit and secular prestige over Faith. There is a word for this behavior: cowardice.
Speaking of cowardice, Duke University will go to extraordinary lengths to promote the hookup culture (including homosexual hookups) but cannot find the courage to defend the chastity of ANY of their students
Today’s guest David Zuniga of the America Again project offers you his latest BOOK for free and the America Again MOVIE for free.
The Miracle Amendment strikes again (14th Amendment) – Now we learn that the framers of the Constitution intended all along for their “plan of government” to govern the rules of the workplace for pregnant women. Question: if the SCOTUS claims jurisdiction over workplace conditions governing pregnant women doesn’t it logically cover rules governing women who aren’t pregnant? What about MEN who aren’t pregnant? What about the sexually confused who are/aren’t pregnant?
DeceptiCONNED: GOP passes it’s $3.8 TRILLION budget so it can say it pass a budget. Oh and did I mention that the “budget” included the $38 BILLION “slush fund” for fighting future wars which properly understood is a 401k plan to insure your and my taxes are sufficient to the appetite of the war-hawk state
Free Birth Control, now government is really an ally of Gal Queda, wheeee! Consider that our civic religion, The State, has a principal purpose: protecting the life and happiness of its citizens (that’s what it claims). How then, if The State assists in the act of preventing future citizens from being born, can it protect those citizens? THIS is the flawed logic nearly all Americans are currently possessed of. The syllogism argument for this goes like this. The State’s job is to protect its citizens, babies are citizens, the state protects babies.
“Imagine there’s no Democrats…no Independents too.” That’s the real message in the “I’m king of the conservative world” acceptance speech Ted Cruz gave to allegedly announce his candidacy for President.
This critical bio of Senator Cruz appeared in Nov, 2014, I did not link to it or comment on it here as I had not seen it. Philip Giraldi’s has delved into the deep dar corners of the money, power and war machine that Cruz occupies as a megaphone for the “unwashed masses” who “have no voice” but as Giraldi tries to demonstrate, Cruz is not that voice either.
Buchanan: Is Mordor on the Potomac using NGO’s to execute regime change around the world? – see Ukraine for the latest example – and if so, WHO is deciding which regime our spooks take out?
DeceptiCONNED: Nothing to see here war-hawk citizen, move along. Just when you thought the process of funding the never ending war machine couldn’t get any more obscene, along comes the $38 BILLION “slush fund” that the Pentagon can dip into whenever it feels like it for whatever it feels like. The fact that the five sided testament to the end of a federal system and start of a imperial one yet cause little alarm or concern from “the land of the free’s” citizens is disturbing enough. Compound that with presidential “kill-lists” and the growing scandal that is Leviathan’s “regime change” program and this writer begins wondering if there is anything the monster can do that the vanguard will recoil from?
Who is Hugh Hewitt and why is this “conservative” demanding that my taxes and debt load “increase” via Mordor to fund the oxymoron of a “defense budget”?
The Atlantic asks the question: why is it an American act of “appeasement” to engage in negotiations with “our enemies”? I answer, perhaps it would be more productive to first discover why “America” has so many enemies that it needs to negotiate with.
MBD: Senator Paul should get another chance and then another from “libertarians” because he is “inching bad policy” toward the good inside the GOP caucus. This argument goes as far as the latest lurch of the Leviathan toward bellicosity goes. The fact that of the two parties, there remains but a 15-20% outcast fringe (Paul on the Right and Bernie Sanders on the Left) represented in the national democracy shows the enormous size of the task ahead. A task so large, spanning an overflowing chasm of mis-informed thinking it is near impossible to envision a substantial change save for Divine intervention. The crowd that bellows about the disaster of “unintended consequences” of welfare state policies is blind to the Goliath sized disaster of warfare state policies. Short of a Lincolnian scaled-massacre to force what at this time is a “change” without a powerful advocate, I think those libertarians are correct to sense the futility of committing time and resources to a Paul candidacy.
DeceptiCONNED: Philip Giraldi explains how the DeceptiCONS have captured the puppet strings of America foreign policy (war policy), and have thoroughly mind-melded majorities of conservatives into their error. It is, as I have told you dozens of times, tied to 3 entities: “think tanks”, the “conservative” media complex and the industrial military complex. The amount of sheer money and thus power wielded by this triumvirate make it nearly impregnable to attack. Giraldi, like nearly all of his peers is incorrect that there is NO media opposition to this in any significant sense as the existence of the Wilkow Majority and the show that I currently am blessed to host shows. Why the libertarian media complex continues to ignore this outlet remains a mystery I have no method of currently solving
Blobism Refuted. What I refer to as, in my coinage, “blobism”, the ideology (in this instance ideology is the correct term) that falsely believes and then promotes the view that these United States were somehow converted into one “blob of America” to be wielded as a cudgel in all affairs, domestic and universal, is refuted by Professor Clyde Wilson on the pages of Chronicles Magazine.
The Planned Parenthood, $20 bill? NY Times grants editorial space for a member of Gal-Queda to opine on the merits of placing Margaret Sanger on the $20 bill
Is Google capable of “defining Truth”? Unless their new algorithm applies philosophia perennis in it’s calculus, it is nothing more than a mechanical logic, which cannot render “Truth” outside of formulaic math but that doesn’t stop Google from claiming it’s “Truth engine” works and will help you find “Truth” on the internet.
Every time I play the Mike Curb Congregation’s “Burning Bridges” theme song from Kelly’s Heroes I wait for the line about “Burning Bridges lost forever more” This is true in the natural life but NOT in the supernatural. Our God is EVER-loving and EVER merciful thereby offering merciful forgiveness of our sins regardless of severity provided there is sincere contrition but there is no taking back the act of sin committed in the natural world, like waging unjust wars. If Senator Rand Paul wanted to lead a brigade of high-grounders to an anti-war stand against the war-hawk legions he had every opportunity but has since “burned those bridges”
What would a REAL pro-life society look like? St Pope John Paul II had an idea on this, think of the “movement” as a seamless garment. And guess what? It all begins with education, namely the liberal art of logic which grounds your thought in Truth, free of error, beckoning your soul to “cultivate” (think culture) a pro-life approach toward all areas of life (gee, where have I heard that before?)
The likelihood that Ted Cruz’s “first out of the starting gate” bid to become the Republican nominee will succeed is small according to the punditocracy. What is disturbing to me is the description of Curz that is ubiquitous across the media spectrum: “conservative”, “far-right”, “right wing” and the worst of all “Reagan-like”. That a blustery, ill-informed wail of foreign policy by 4 star-general, complimented with a side order of “conservative” central economic planning is representative of “conservatism” is frightening.
IF I were to write a critique of my own industry it would very similar to what David Zuniga has written here. “Fellow American, grow up! Please don’t tell me that I’m barking up the wrong tree; I’m exposing the conservative talk phenomenon for what it is – and it is NOT substantive solutions. To start regaining what we’ve lost, it’s time to tune out the high-blood-pressure machine and get working on solutions.”
W James Antle III – Republicans selling Big War have been dealt a better hand than those in opposition. It is easy to make the case that this is so because of the successful sales pitches of previous, disastrous big-war efforts
The Gaystapo, Catholic Church Edition: There are many people who have been warning that certain Catholic bishops are not enforcing the Church’s Magisterium on moral theology principally because they don’t believe it (you might ask why these men are “bishops”). Now a bishop has told a Catholic school teacher in a Catholic school that she may not teach the Magisterium on marriage any longer. This is the fight that men and women of Catholic faith are going to have fight at the peril of becoming economically damaged as this story shows
Ted Cruz is officially running for President. If you read this site regularly this is not news to you but it is confirmation that the GOP machine is going to nominate a war-hawk masquerading as a “conservative”
I have commented many times on the life and times of John Dickinson. He the only voice against Independence on 1 July, 1776 but the same who left his seat in Congress the next day so his state, PA, led by Ben Franklin and James Wilson, could vote for the Lee Resolution. What is rarely explored is WHY Dickinson opposed independence. This is because it would reveal an inconvenient truth: Dickinson believed the Crown had the legitimate authority to tax the American colonies. They might disagree over the rate but the authority was legitimate. Dickinson, alas, was correct and he is ignored at our peril. Brad Birzer explores Dickinson’s “Letters From A Pennsylvania Farmer” and Dickinson’s thought on revolution.
And then there were…? The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A. branch) has concluded that St Thomas More, St John Fisher, and St John The Baptist were heretics with a side order of bigot while concluding that homosexual marriage is perfectly in keeping with the teaching of Christ. It should occur to the thinking Christian the contradiction that this Protestant sect has become because other Presbyterians cling to the former teaching that marriage is between a man and a woman, not the new and improved “between two persons”. Is the Holy Ghost a schizophrenic who cannot determine which version (there is but One) of Our Lords teachings he is to inspire the Christian “faithful” to live by? *rhetorical*
“We must protect our Constitutional rights” is the refrain heard from both libs and “conservatives” and therein lies the core problem of the American “experiment”: it is based on an error of the most egregious kind (actually 4 of them) but the fundamental problem is the misconstruction of the term “rights”. Please consider “It is shocking to many that the first notion of individual rights in the West is predicated upon each person’s ability to murder one another. For Hobbes, nature is chaotic and warlike, thus, each man has the unmitigated right of self-preservation – a right that went as far as to go to “everything, even to one another’s body.” I elaborate on this point in a new article: War, War, War, Really is Leviathan’s Fault after All
There is a term in the Catholic Magisterium and the writings and lives of all the Saints: mortification. Mortification is the practice of chastening your temporal desires by intentionally introducing suffering into your life e.g. foregoing salt & spice on bland foods, turning hot water off the last minute of a shower. 3 Generations ago, Americans were aware of mortification and practiced it to some degree though they may not have used the term. “Difficulty” is the term used in this essay to explain the old practice and plead for its return.
Patrick J Buchanan: The GOP is returning to the ill-informed bellicosity of the Bush years and will do so at their and our own peril
A pair of Italian fashion designers who are well known homosexuals come out of the closet…. as opposed to ANY acceptance of homosexual marriage and homosexual adoption saying the practice is not in keeping with their “Catholic Faith”. I won’t scandalize the pair but I will gently correct their retraction that reads “I’m Sicilian and I grew up in a traditional family, made up of a mother, a father, and children…I am very well aware of the fact that there are other types of families and are as legitimate as the one I’ve known…I was talking about my personal view, without judging other people’s choices and decisions.” Let’s think about that for a moment. Any marriage/family outside of the arrangement that God has made for us, where an act of Contrition was employed for forgiveness followed by a solemn vow and resolve to forego that behavior cannot be “legitimate” and is as heretical as the first instance of promoting Heresy.
Patrick J Buchanan: The Iranians do not need a bomb because, thanks to U.S., the Arab world is moving their way in emerging majorities. This means that the lusted for war against the Iranians the DeceptiCON madmen are scheming will likely include more than just Iran as an “enemy”. Nice going, GOP, maybe if you guys keep working at it, you can align the entire hemisphere against us!?
ESSAY: The “Same Sex Marriage Crisis” is not entirely the fault of homosexual activists has some teeth to it including admonitions against further silence on “hook up culture” and the “emasculation of men”.
San Francisco Catholics (an oxymoron) express outrage when they discover the Catholic Schools they send their children to are actually Catholic and actually believe that the Church is supposed to teach IT’S Magisterium! This is followed by the City of San Francisco expressing its outrage in a resolution condemning the Arch Bishop’s “bigotry”. I wonder if anyone will bring up the stories of St John Fisher and St. Thomas More who gave their lives for the same Magisterium when Henry VIII told them to comply with him or die
*SATIRE* What is being done to stamp out the inequality gap in snow shoveling? Some reports put the female disadvantage at 93-7%, this is an outrage that must be addressed by Mrs. Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and the rest of Gal Queda before young girls see their lives inexorably damaged by this discrimination

Can the State Dept. deny a Visa to an American citizen’s foreign husband if someone in Leviathan thinks he is a “terrorist”? That’s the question a SCOTUS case must answer. My question is what does the Constitution say about this? It seems to me this is another example of the Constitution being incapable of regulating the difference between alien friends and enemies.
Facebook’s Mark Zuckerburg wants you to read some books with him, books you can “learn” from but there’s one huge problem. He wants you to learn all about NEW cultures NEW beliefs and NEW technologies when modern man hasn’t even bothered to “learn” the OLD beliefs, the OLD cultures and can barely function alongside CURRENT technologies without becoming the biggest promoters of Sloth since Dante. Wellllll Mr. “conservative” what’s YOUR solution? How about we start with Chesterton’s Orthodoxy and work our way backwards to Augustine’s Confessions, passing through Twain, Dickens, Shakespeare and Aquinas?
HEROIC: Judge Roy Moore of the Al Supreme Court rightly says that TWO SCOTUS justices must recuse themselves from the “gay marriage” case they are to hear because they have performed “marriage” ceremonies and are therefore biased
DeceptiCONNED: Israel Firsters (our 51st AND most important AND beloved state… they gave us the Constitution you know *sarcasm* ) bombard Rand Paul with “he’s faking it” because Paul wasn’t “clapping hard enough” during and after Bibi’s best Lincoln impersonation. The “it” being his undying, unwavering, jingoistic idolatry for Israel and all it does for our asparagus growers and honey farmers and…uh, you know, “freedoms”, and …blah blah blah. What is really going on here is the Israel Firster’s need to get rid of Paul before the Presidential debates start so the GOP war machine can put forward a unified – for WWIII with CIC Netanyahu – presence. Michael Brendan Dougherty explains
Meanwhile, the Senate is refusing to perform its constitutional function of Advice and Consent WITH the President on treaties, in this case the talks with Iran over its nuclear program.
