If a child is not properly socialized by the age of 4, is not taught how to interact with peers, to share, etc., he will eventually be rejected by those peers. That rejection only means that he will grow to become more isolated and solitary with time. The hurting animals part is the first step on the way to doing harm to humans; eventually the rejected child who hurts animals will hurt people. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? Points out the importance of parents and their combined role in socializing a child. Men are needed to socialize young boys in knowing the limits of aggression in play. Father absence is a killer. Literally!!!
