While the twin towers burned, Mike Parrott was on the side of the road waiting on the police officer to issue him a citation for speeding. Afterwards Mike would later receive a commission in the United States Marine Corps and would serve in both Afghanistan and Iraq.  These combat tours would teach a young Mike Parrott that he was misled.
