Brother Andre on X: IVF is the flip side of the contraception coin: Contraception is sex without babies; IVF is babies without sex. Both separate what God has joined together. Both are wrong. Only the Catholic Church as an institution maintains moral sanity on these issues.

If the Church were the evil anti-sex organization her libertine critics make her out to be, she would love to have found a way to have babies without the carnal pleasures of the marriage bed. But, being bound to the truth taught her by her Bridegroom, she maintains her insistence on the “one flesh” procreative union of matrimony (cf. Gen. 2:24, Matt 19:5-6, Mark 10:8, Eph. 5:31).

• Let’s just witness to the truth.
• Minds get opened by using this technique.
• The Church has multiple reasons why She opposes IVF.
• 9 out of 10 children will die after the successful implantation of the ONE and the rest are either frozen and kept or they are destroyed.
• We don’t know the long term effects of freezing a conceived child much less for many many years.
• This alone makes it completely unethical. 
• They advertise in college newspapers – they pay these college women for this.
• They have killed students and they have rendered some of these young women completely infertile.
• There are many many sins that come from this.
• It is Frankenstein all over.
• They are editing the genetic make-up of children. 
• What this guy said was this may be unethical now but people used to think IVF was unethical and look at where we are now.
• This is diabolical. 
• What is the Churches fundamental issue w/ IVF?
• More children are killed from IVF than have died from therapeutic abortions.
• There is a more fundamental objection – 
• Sexual union – the good of the spouses themselves and the transmission of life.
• They cannot be separated.
• Fidelity and Fecundity 
• Not even California have updated its birth certificates to allow for 5 parents.

• Our Father includes interviews with eight of the 94 siblings. Because of Cline’s lack of cooperation and the unknown number of patients he had the opportunity to inseminate up until he stopped practicing in 2009, there is no way to know for sure how many siblings there may be. 
• As is often and infuriatingly the case in the U.S. justice system, in order to pursue Cline for the crime he had committed, it was necessary to prosecute him for something else. In 2017, he was brought to trial facing two counts of felony obstruction of justice, for lying during the investigation. The obstruction of justice charges meant that no evidence related to Cline’s actions toward his former patients was admissible—though those actions constituted the injustice for which the siblings and their parents were truly seeking restitution. Cline pled guilty, and received two suspended sentences (meaning he served no jail time), and a $500 fine.
• Why is the Catholic Church always right about these teachings?
• She understands the purpose and the ends of these things.
• The husband and wife will have children and create the FAMILY!
• The Church is the guardian of the deposit of faith.
• She knew what two will become one flesh.
• That is what one flesh means.
• It is not metaphorical. 
• We call it a coupling together, two joined as one, the conjugal union.
