The 17th Amendment In Relation To The START Treaty TheKingDude

(Audio) Mandeville, LA -The ratification of treaties is a Constitutional duty that is necessary to have a Union. One of the duties that the President is assigned and the Senate must concur in as representatives of the States. With the passage of the 17th Amendment we getno representation of the States.

Almost every treaty, unless it’s acease fire or an end of war declaration, that has been passed since could not be on behalf of the sovereign States. Wehave little to no sovereignty left, much like we have little to noConstitutional values left. So, in respect to the START Treaty that’sfloating out there somewhere in Mordor is another big sell off ofsovereignty, due to giving no say so whatsoever to the Statesthemselves.

Something to think about isn’t it folks? Here’sanother one, straight from the KingDude to you the conservative thinker- how can a power that was granted to the President of the UnitedStates that must be concurred with by 2/3 of the United States Senate, how can it have any meaning anymore and how can the States berepresented when the Senate is no longer chosen by those same States, the States of the people? Today they’re chosen by corporate hackinterests, which is where the lobbying and campaigning money comesfrom. Does anyone else consider this to be a morally wrong process, because we sure do.
