Mandeville, LA – Mike Church‘s daily Pile of Prep, chock full of the latest [r]epublican news, reading selections and Mike’s take on the latest he said, he said between Senators Ted Cruz & Rand Paul. Read along with Mike’s historical viewpoint to help make sense of it all plus other [r]epublican stories used to perform the Mike Church Show on Sirius/XM Patriot channel 125. “Diehard prohibitionists have never given up, but the majority came to realize, after a time, that the cost of Prohibition in cynicism, crime, and corruption was too high. If it had actually worked, it might have been a different question. But of course it did not work, as any sane observer could have foreseen. As a result, Prohibition is the only federal intrusion in this century that has actually been pushed back. Our current “war on drugs”—the attempt to prohibit the importation and sale of recreational narcotics—has been going on longer than Prohibition and is an even greater failure and a greater source of economic and social destruction.” – Professor Clyde N. Wilson Nomocracy in Politics
You’ll secede when we tell you to and not before! “American diplomats” pull out all the stops to attempt to stop Crimea’s referendum tomorrow and have now resorted to calling the act an “annexation” by Russia!
Utah Ag wants the feds to investigate Senators Lee and Reid for their ties to online gambling operations as the Feds refuse to get involved in the investigation marking the first time in memory the federal Injustice dept. refuses to expand and assert its authority granted by God himself
Daniel Larison wants to know why every journalist and op-ed writer alive remains CONVINCED that the only reason anyone on earth does anything is because of what the U.S. President does immediately beforehand. Fiolks this is a delusional state of being here that all options must flow through John Kerry and John McCains approval system before they happen
Ladies and gentleman, welcome the new queen of American Exceptionalism and I mean “ism” as in a sickness, Peggy Noonan of the WSJ
Foiled again: The Atlantic’s Sean McElwee ponders if [r]epublican comedy is possible because it is ideological (it isn’t) and devoid of surprise (what’s more surprising than bi-partisan satire!?). Yet again, the work done by the Mike Church Show Band among others is either not known or not recognized…c’est la vie
The “C” in CPAC will be relevant when the event moves from Mordor to the heartland (maybe that will happen when Mordor isn’t the ONLY capitol in North America again?) “What happens to conservatives in D.C. is that, even if they claim to believe in decentralism and federalism, their very presence in D.C. shows they actually believe the opposite. They work for a central solution to decentralization.”
Christopher Ferrara recommends (and I second) Camille Paglia’s essay in the current Time Magazine “When public schools refuse to acknowledge gender differences, we betray boys and girls alike”.
Speaking of offering centralized or corrupted views to fix political and familial corruption, exactly how will the process that has resulted in the inversion of 83% of all women being stay at home moms in 1960 be reversed? The end result of 83% of women being full-time workers is 2 parents working for similar “take home” pay but what about the kids? The dog? The GARDEN!?
DeceptiCONNED Shockuh – Tea Party types are 25% MORE likely to be world conquerors than run of the mill GOP Establishment hacks
Today’s guest Srdja Trifkovic “Ukraine Bosnified while Putin is Hitlerfied”. Trifkovic
The social media sphere is all agog over the “Duke porn star” but even the WaPo’s resident misanthrope, Ruth Marcus cannot bring herself to endorse the parody of womanhood that feminism has become thanks to Gal Queda
Good news! The American War-Hawk has just made the endangered species list even though the DeceptiCONS that promoted it during Clinton and Bush’s terms cannot believe what they are seeing
Wow, when union hacks from AFT tell Bill & Melinda Gates to stick their “foundation” money where the sun don’t shine, over Common Core it must be really uncommonly awful
The ObamaCare girl might even learn Common Core’s site after she learns the ACA site
David Brooks, one of the high-priests of the war-hawk stampede, stares with awe at the public’s rejection of the never-ending war. “”What’s happening can be more accurately described this way: Americans have lost faith in the high politics of global affairs,” Brooks hypothesizes. “They have lost faith in the idea that American political and military institutions can do much to shape the world. American opinion is marked by an amazing sense of limitation—that there are severe restrictions on what political and military efforts can do.”
Blogger claims that “going back to small scale societies will mean 99%” of people will perish because the D/A’s don’t know how to produce food and REQUIRE multi-national food productions
Jeff Jacoby predicts that making 6 California’s out of 1 California doesn’t have a chance because, well you know, people like BIG
Why does the U.S. choose one country’s “self-determination” as doctrinaire (see Ted Cruz’s ridiculous statements on Ukraine at CPAC) then say the same action by a people not yet recognized by Mordor isn’t legitimate!?
THE MIKE CHURCH SHOW: Today’s SoundCloud clip from SiriusXM covers my take on Ted Cruz at CPAC
CPAC: Rand Paul delivers the rehearsal of his 2016 stump speech for the GOP nomination
FLASHBACK: Kevin Gutzman proposed breaking up the states, post Bush v Gore, in 2001 by retelling the story of Virginia’s 1829 Constitution which gave the people of the individual counties the right to divide or “secede” from their current geographic boundaries
VIDEO: Senator Rand Paul calls out Ted Cruz (though not by name) for abusing vReagan’s foreign policy legacy then goes on to assert that “Obama hasn’t projected enough strength internationally either”. Wow, so droning American citizens to death, invading Libya, causing Egypt, assassinating Iranian scientists and the list goes on is WEAKNESS!? Wow….
Meanwhile in Gotham City, Mitch McConnell shows he is no “tea party” patsy by telling the world he doesn’t think the group will field ONE candidate this fall (has he not heard of Greg Brannon?)
Spyin’ Eyes: Edward Snowden demolishes the “he should have gone to his superiors at the NSA if there were concerns” while, predictably, the NSA denies he ever attempted to “whistle blow”. Who do YOU believe?

Putin is not on the wrong side of history anymore than JQA or James Monroe were. We forget that the Monroe Doctrine declared the hemisphere we occupy as one free of monarchical aggression
Secede! Professor Donald Livingston continues expounding his brilliant 3 piece essay on the causes and effects of Southern secession in 1861 and wonders whether Otto Bismarck was a German caricature of dishonest Abe Lincoln
THREE AMIGOS UPDATE: Dwayne Stovall nets nearly 11% of TX primary voters (143,000 votes) while Rob Maness continues his Louisiana campaign to unseat Senator Mary Landrieu but how can anyone compete with a U.S. Senator who can shower the state with over $228 MILLION in bailout bribes?
VIDEO: Tom Woods delivers the ultimate smack down to the Daily Show’s “Expert panel” on Lincoln and the Fugitive Slave Act after Judge Napolitano makes an appearance and tells the truth about Lincoln and his war
William Graham Sumner was feted by Clyde Wilson and Brion McClanahan as a “Forgotten Conservative” in their book by the same title. Reading his “Forgotten Man” essay from 1883 will explain why. You can find the link to the digital online edition of that book in today’s Prep Better section for Founders Pass members

How were young boys taught American History “back in the day”? Read just 1 issue of the bi-annul St Nicholas Reader and you will understand what has happened
The works of William Graham Sumner include a brilliant essay titled “The Forgotten Man” published in 1883. You can read the entire collected works under this title here, or find the abridged version with only The Forgotten Man essay in it on this site here
Why is it a bad idea to have a standing army just laying around? CATO, the 18th century Whig, read by most of the Founders, explains as an Englishmen, meaning this school of thought comes from the conservative tradition the Founders inherited and defended
When you hear your “conservative” friends yodel on endlessly about the “Liberal Media” or the corrupt “MSM” as they are convinced this is a recent event, send them here to go read Mark Twain’s speech of 1873 about the “corrupt press”
Here’s an interesting work that I recently discovered “The Crowd” by Guztave Le Bron a fascinating study of how crowds control nations and what nations become control crowds. No, it isn’t a paradox, it is the study of how inertia in public affairs is almost always missing when “change” is lusted for
Albert J Nock’s: Isaiah’s Job (from Tuesday, 4 Feb, 2014 show-Ed.), the story of how the Remant is to be kept animated and active if Man is to survive perdition (our own path to destruction)
If you haven’t read Dante’s Inferno in a while, this site has the entire work broken down by segment/chapter, character and more
Presenting George Clinton’s “Cato” letter, Number 3, sometimes referred to as AntiFederalist # 14. Cato explains why a large republic will never work and why smaller ones are preferred
This 1860 classic work details the type of manners and etiquette every young man should learn and live his life by. I just started reading the work myself and look forward to sharing much of it here and on-air. “THE GENTLEMEN’S BOOK OF ETIQUETTE, AND MANUAL OF POLITENESS”
“Our Federal Government” by Abel Upshur is an 1833 demolition of Justice Joseph Story’s fabricated history of the United States and her Constitution. WARNING: Reading this will increase your resolve to secede!
The Historical Writings of John Fiske, The American Revolution. If you are prepping for the upcoming pop quiz from my friends at Franklin’s Opus, on Valley Forge, this is a good start
The counter-argument presented by John taylor of Caroline AFTER the government’s lawyer, Wickham, presented his case for the tax. I did not include this in the Carriage Tax Pamphlet but have found it online. Begin reading on pg 423.

Ron Paul wonders why, at $17.6 TRILLION in cash debt, ANYONE thinks the United States should “spend” one nickel on the Ukraine when we cannot even “fix” Detroit or Compton or… you get the picture
VIDEO: Thank goodness Mitch McConnell is employing videographers to document his tireless work in the Senate on our behalf…oh wait, is he in the Senate or at Office Depot trying out some new desk furniture for his “home office”?
Putin uses Western media to defend the secession of Crimea from the Ukraine, yes he is an authoritarian, yes he is President of the Big Bad Russian bear but he still write better op-eds than Obama or John McCain
Whose fault was WWII? If you ask any CPAC attendee they will answer “It was our fault because we turned Isolationist and din’t do enough to stop Hitler…then there’s the pacifist Neville Chamberlain…” Well, well class, is that CPAC war-hawk right? Not according the history books as recounted by Patrick J Buchanan. Matter of fact, we are, right now, setting into motion the events that could lead to Russian “aggression” so loudly talked of by some.
CPAC is the annual gathering of “conservatives” who come from all across the amber waves of non-profit grain to hear their favorite politician/speakers, meet and network with other activists in a quest to form a national conservative “message” and this year you can learn how to dig into your opponents deep, dark past and ruin his reputation while taking a tour through the lower class’s neighborhoods to learn how to speak their language and write better welfare policies for them.
Why does Estonia have a faster internet than Louisiana or South Carolina? Why does nearly ALL the civilized world have faster downloads than the U.S. labors under? because Mordor conspired with multi-BILLION concerns to rig the game and create cartels & monopolies, yet another reason why the American Union must be broken apart into more manageable, much smaller federations
Since when is lingerie something “that sustains life” and eligible to be purchased with an EBT card? Maybe we should ask the Louisiana Legislature about that and then ask Mordor why they are granting EBT status to Lingerie shops in Lafayette, LA!?
America-Team NATO-World Police – Obama orders 6 additional F-16 fighter jest to Poland to go and “police” the skies over the Crimea, just in case Vlad the Impaler decides he needs to intervene on behalf of people attached in some form or another to Russia for over 800 years. (I wonder where Putin would get such a dastardly idea!?)
Truth: DeceptiCON War-Hawks want to have the world bow at their feet, 24/7/365 and they tell us this every time they insist that either A: America has done too little to save the planet e.g. Syria or B. America has done something beyond her responsibility but CANNOT be blamed for the awful consequences e.g. 500,000 dead or maimed in Iraq
War-Hawks in the House draft resolution that demands that Vlad the Impaler stop acting like Bush the Compassionate or Obama The Dear Leader. If we change the proper nouns referring to Russia & Crimea (from the AP story), the resolve sounds like what I would expect the rest of the planet to demand of Us. “It calls on The United States to remove “all of its military forces” from the Arabian peninsula, other than those operating in accordance with a treaty on operations of the 6th Fleet. The resolution also calls on President Vladimir Putin to not attend the upcoming G8 summit of industrialized nations in Sochi, and to “consider expelling” The United States from the group “given its international aggression.”
Another call for an Article V amendment Convention that lauds Mark Levin as the modern creator of the idea and its chief theoretical proponent, neglecting Dr. Kevin Gutzman, Prof. Randy Barnett, Bruce Fein and Y/T’s work over the last 4 years
Dig a little deeper into the Ukrainian “chaos” to discover that the real culprits here are the same culprits in Libya, Syria and Egypt, namely U.S. as the record shows we are actively undermining the legitimate, though corrupt, government of Ukraine.
Now let’s learn a little bit about Ukrainian geography and language distribution which shows a strikingly easy to identify, divided country nearly down the middle.
TIC: Finally someone else says what I have concluded over the last 5 years of reading and reflecting and that is the welfare & corporatist states arose because the capitalist system alone cannot fulfill all the needs of a society which is why the reading of the Christian complimentary works of Austrian economist Wilhelm Roepke are vital. Blaming just Franklin DelanObama and the New Deal is woefully inadequate to illustrate a way out of our current pickle “…the 1950s became more insular (perhaps the word to use is “nuclear”), with an emphasis not on sustaining generational connections and continuities over time but on self-indulgence and individual fulfillment through consumption, with ample doses of sedatives distributed to calm rattled nerves and temper unrealized expectations. The American family, more particularly its middle-class variant, thereby became the apotheosis of secular modernism.”
Rethinking The American Union Symposium – Allen Mendenhall’s “Secession and Messianic Statism Part II” is the most well thought out, provocative yet motivational from the reclaim liberty and the liberty of the Spirit, I have read since Gildersleeve’s Creed of The Old South. Folks, STOP what you are doing and read this, then read it to your kids, then read it to your grandmother, then print it and slip it in your neighbor’s mailbox. An excerpt “The American Union no longer represents America. America is dead, and the American Union killed it. In its place is a consolidated bureaucracy that carries out standardized programs to enforce uniform mediocrity.”
Rethinking the American Union, Symposium, rolls on with Allen Mendenhall’s “Secession and messianic statism Part I” at Nomocracy in politics.
How to Read the Federal Convention of 1787 – Brad Brizer walks students through his 15 year journey of discovery in how best to discover the truth behind the Constitution and the men who crafted it
The Fame of Our Fathers: What makes a famous Founder famous and why are so many, once famous, now not known at all? The answer lies partly in the fickleness of any given age and what it needs to exalt itself, the rest comes from the Founders own pursuit of Fame as I chronicled in Fame of Our Fathers. Here’s an audio sample explaining “conditores imperiorum” and you can buy the 3 CD set there
VIDEO: My latest on Senator Mary Landrieu’s deception and corruption. Trivia: I actually submitted this with the title: Landrieu’s Legacy? Louisiana Addicted To Bailout Crack
LATIN PHRASE OF THE DAY: fax mantis incendium gloriae – the flame of glory is the passion of the mind
FLASHBACK to “Times That Try Mens Souls”, Mike’s latest feature length docudrama – The Widow Who Saved The Revolution, who was she? the mystery is finally revealed. This woman took the Hessian Colonel Donop into her home of Dec., 23rd and kept him there until December 27th, long enough to prevent him reinforcing Trenton, NJ and squashing Washington’s Crossing Cell Mates Snowden & Clapper!?
