Yes, you read that right, Hillary is a “devout Methodist” and with all her abortion promoting, Sodomite marrying prowess, cannot save the religion of Me Me Me worshipped in the Lincoln Memorial Temple. Applebaum “There are necessary corollaries to that belief, which long shaped the political debate. That individual success is a means of advancing the general good. That there are limits to what any of us can accomplish on our own. That our actions must serve some higher purpose. And that, individually and collectively, Americans can and must do great things. Hillary Clinton, a devout Methodist, tends not to discuss her Christian faith before general audiences, or to infuse her rhetoric with the language of religion. In that, she follows the path of many recent Democratic nominees.” Applebaum may have used the correct terminology “civil religion” (i.e. CR) and even cited part of it’s opposite, correct ordering,  but he does what all CRists do, he elevates “the founding” to perfect, pristine heights that must be restored, but what was done at “the founding” is what has led to today. Orestes Brownson remains the union’s only, publicly accomplished promoter of the real correction. Because few read Brownson’s “The American Republic”, shockuh, right? You should.

Monday Night’s Great Debate Robbery WAS A Civics Lesson & Trumpzilla Won – On Tuesday morning I monologued that the pronouncements of Mrs Clinton’s dominating win were based upon the voting system that scored things on a status quo based political scale e.g. ” ‘Murica must “lead the world, therefore, my plan to bomb ________ and will make that happen”. What Trumpzilla has done is refuse to play that game instead pointing out what most everyone knows: government is crooked and inept and cannot fix itself or what it has damaged. Instead we must pursue a real-world tested, business approach that includes sacking the elite, criminal class that has benefitted from diabolical, created order. Daniel McCarthy has a similar take: “The election is becoming a test of public support for the Washington consensus. And the fact that Trump has come this far is a sign that public support for that consensus—on trade, war, and immigration—has already eroded to a much greater degree than anyone in Washington dares to admit.”

Collusion/Corruption By Numbers – “Debate” moderator Lester Holt, reliably did a great job as the Media Industrial Complexe’s hired gun for the evening. Check the graphic out that shows Holt actually interrupted Trump more than Hillary interrupted him. Of course this is what the MIC does, it moves to protect its interests that are promoted and advanced by the governing class. What you saw was the challenge of attacking the beast of the Big Brother state from the outside as every big brother cliched, illogical argument for the warfare, welfare and industrial state was on display and defended as beyond reproach and a proven boom for all of ‘Murica/Mankind.

Alas, the sad saga of “conservatives” placing their faith and hope in this fraud will continue. Watch Trump be the humble part of the story and “accept” ineligible Ted Cruz’s “endorsement”.

Christians: Ever Thus The Militants – Joseph Pearce visits the current anarchist turmoil in Spain and reminds readers that Spain has always been a touchstone in the defense of Europe from evil. From the millennia long war against the Muslims to the repelling of the Communists and now secular fundamentalism, but this is as it should be, or, as Pearce puts it “so be it”.

Red State Heresy Is Not A CRUSADE – Most readers/listeners will know Red State’s Erick Erickson and his radio show, website and gig on Fox News. What you may not know is that Erickson has apparently found the CRUSADE Channel and has ported Red State Radio to a Televangelist version of our “Restoring the correct order by promoting and defending Transcendent Truth, always and in all ways”. Erickson comes to the conclusion that because Trumpzilla is an egomaniac and has not confessed his sins, he must vote against him to save “America’s …virtue”. Wow, really, where might we find that virtue and can we start with admitting that the foundational virtue, Humility, we have none of, as Erickson, proudly reminds us. “All Christendom should be ashamed we are putting our needs in this temporary place ahead of saving a soul bound for eternity. That I see so many Christians justifying Donald Trump’s immorality, defining deviancy down, and turning to anger and despondency about the future tells me I cannot in good faith support Donald Trump because his victory would have lasting, damaging consequences for Christianity in America. We harm our witness and the testimony of the strength of our Lord by embracing the immoral, unrepentant strong man. We harm our American virtue by buying into the idea that one man can make America great again. Further, we risk losing Donald Trump’s soul for the sake of our selfishness.”  Read the whole thing and tune in to David Simpson and my discussion of it. To be clear, I claim no stranglehold or monopoly on Truth or on possession of Humility and applaude Erickson’s turn. But this is “conservatism” wrapped in a Corinthians wrapper that doesn’t acknowledge the evil “America” defends and promotes.

She/He Blinded Me With Science, Brother [sister] – Finally, a rational account of the fallacy of finding “happiness” and the “true me” by transitioning genders. Walt Heyer was told he was a she and it was OK to transition and then all would be right as rain. But now Heyer is back to being Walt and now Wilma and is horrified at the masochistic child abuse, ‘Murican schools, government and parents, are guilty of perpetrating on children, but I’ll let Heyer say it: “It is sadistic to use the public school system, which holds a captive audience, to engage in a social gender identity experiment with the nation’s young people.”

“They Hate Us For Our Freedoms” But Love Us For Our Bellicosity – Does terrorism actually work to achieve its “goals”? No, says Richard English in the appropriately named book “Does Terrorism Work?” Some of English’s arguments readers will recognize as having been made on these pages and the Mike Church Show and some are new: “All of which leads English to conclude that terrorism has never “worked”—that it has failed to succeed in achieving its principal objectives in strategic terms…English goes on to argue that terror is unsuccessful not because it employs violence, but rather because its goals are generally unachievable by any means….So is it possible that George W. Bush was right when he said “they hate us for our freedom”? Well, not exactly, though they certainly do hate us. To be accurate, a lot of the hatred from Islamic terrorist groups is blowback for what we Americans have been doing to Muslims in a tangible and very visible way” Mr. English is correct to conclude that the American Empire’s hyperbolic, ridiculous “global war on terror” has fueled terror groups into positions of power their capabilities and indeed “successes” are not worthy of.

State Assisted Suicide: “This Is For The Kids!” – Remember Banshee Woman? That maniacal, screaming wench who was captured screeching “we’re doing this for our kids….THIS IS FOR THE KIDS!!!” outside the infamous Wisconsin Teacher’s Union protests back in 2012? Well Cheeseheads, Belgium has now legalized state assisted suicide “for the kids” and the Prince of this world has claimed his first soul. For all who believe that “restoring the Constitution” and “getting back to the Founders Intent” were antidotes for the rot of Modernity, what say ye now? Man, using “science” as a subjective tool, is unleashing diabolic forces that will not be denied the claiming of millions upon millions of souls. As ethicist Andrew Walker laments at The Federalist: “Like any state policy over matters of deep moral consequence, the gravest consequences are the unexpected. Once polities turn the euthanasia corner, the poorest and most indigent will face outsized pressure for euthanasia.” Church teaching on this could not be more clear and warning

Technology Won’t Save Us From God’s Reboot – When someone asks me “what happened to you, you used to be somebody on the radio then you went all religious” (note at least 3 former, Facebook “friends” from GA, bailed the day SiriusXM whacked me) I pause, recall my vow of humility and say “I’m trying to become somebody in heaven”. *crickets* READ the story of über blogger, tycoon, Andrew Sullivan who got the millions of readers, plum “commentaries” with @CNN’s Brooke Baldwin et al; flashed his faux, “catholic” homosexuality and success in our faces, then nearly died of the Sin of obsession. Friends, Sullivan has discovered what the devout aspire to: Eternity. You can’t value it with wealth or measure it in earthly comforts; but you can know when the Grace is missing from the past or present to achieve it, Sullivan:

“He had escaped, it seemed to me, what we moderns understand by time. There was no race against it; no fear of wasting it; no avoidance of the tedium that most of us would recoil from. And as I watched my fellow meditators walk around, eyes open yet unavailable to me, I felt the slowing of the ticking clock, the unwinding of the pace that has all of us in modernity on a treadmill till death. I felt a trace of a freedom all humans used to know and that our culture seems intent, pell-mell, on forgetting.”

As Padré Gaetano tells us in Humility of Heart: “And has not a saint abundant reasons, from the thought of his own weakness, to live always in a state of great humility, when he knows that from one hour to another he may lose the grace of God and the kingdom of heaven which he has merited by years of laboriously-acquired virtues? “Unless the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.”
