WHY won’t the states vault into action to stop this madness by passing The Compact For America’s balanced budget amendment to the Constitution? Will You Go Gay And Disordered Or Straight And Carmelite? – Two weeks ago I posted a story on my Facebook wall that homosexuality was a disorder and was informed by a “friend” that I was a homophobe:

Muricah, Mobile Home of The Brave And The Moral Minority – In the period that followed the evil of Roe V Wade, Evangelicals begin banding together to oppose abortion and the plan was hatched to flee the Dumbocrat Party to the GOP and through the GOP elect judges to overturn the evil. The backstop for this effort was the well-known Jerry Falwell and his “Moral Majority”. But was there ever really a post, World War II, Moral Majority? In a word, “no”, and three new books go at lengths to prove this then to propose solutions one of which is The Benedict Option. In reviewing these three books, my friend Patrick Deneen does the signal service of providing some historical narrative for the existence of the Moral Minority. Here’s a sample: “Even where religious faith persists, Christian Smith suggests that religion for many Americans is individualistic and therapeutic rather than a source of discipline and moral norms. For nearly thirty years, conservatives have triumphed politically amid a catastrophic breakdown of social and cultural norms, especially those that foster an ethic of self-sacrifice, commonweal, and practices that inculcate duty, discipline, respect, civility, and obedience.” [emphasis mine-MC] Read the whole essay, it is worth your time and the future, I believe, depends on our admission of this Moral Minority as a starting place to CONSTRUCT a new Christendom where one never really existed. Deneen nails this point. “Now, a more radical possibility is opening up. Traditional Christians now wonder if a just and righteous society must be built in opposition to a national creed that has led inexorably to libertinism.” Perhaps “Benedict Options” are not enough, we should be praying for new Benedicts and pray for the Grace to know them and follow them.

DeceptiCONNED: War War War! Boosters Get Their “Right War” In Syria Without Congress’s Blessing – While most Trump supporters and clingers on to the idea that Mordor on the Potomac can be reformed and made into an Emerald City again, the Military Industrial Complex is busy getting the U.S.A. embroiled deepr into the war in Syria, committing troops and war-like actions without Congress ever giving its blessing; this is the new “conservatism”. Daniel Larison points out that this escalation will not be opposed by “constitutionalists” in Congress because they mostly agree with this act of pure bravado because “we’s ‘Muricah!” and why “we have to lead!”. Larison: “Neither the Obama nor the Trump administration has ever had to justify a policy of trying to fight a war alongside mutually antagonistic forces, and neither of them has ever been forced to do so by Congress or anyone else. The president has no authority to deploy U.S. forces into Syria, and especially not to act as a buffer between forces of an allied government and proxy forces inside Syria, but we can be certain that there will be no serious opposition to it.” So far gone is this “policy” that I don’t even hear non-interventionists anymore. Rand Paul is busy playing Mr Smith goes to Washington with the non-repeal repeal of ObamaCare as are any opponents of this madness in the House. Meanwhile, who tells the families of the dead in exactly what their sons are dying in and for?

DeceptiCONNED: The GOPCare Plan Is Bride Of ObamaCare – Now that the Paul Ryanistas have released their 6 years in the making alternative to ObamaCare we discover that the alleged superior powers of Republicans in matters of government were greatly exaggerated, nay, manufactured out of whole cloth. The monstrosity that Ryan et al have cobbled together is a specter of everything we already know does not work for the common good yet will work for the good of the Medical/Pharmaceutical Industrial Complex that RyanCare REALLY represents. Megan McArdle at Bloomberg puts Ryan’s gambit in perspective: “Passing this bill would certainly ensure that Republicans will 100 percent own any ensuing death spiral, and will have little luck whining that it was gonna death spiral anyway, because Obamacare. In other words, even if we leave aside any policy effects, this bill will be a disaster for the long-term political fortunes of the Republican Party.” “Death spiral… disaster…political fortunes…”, uh oh, this is not going to end well for the party of Lincoln and that’s been my point the last 6 years: you CANNOT fix what is broken in a government of this size and magnitude, it is going to defy any effort to do so until the scale is corrected. More McArdle on ObamaCare Lite: “Just as Lite foods failed to keep Americans from getting fatter, the GOP version of health-care reform doesn’t fix the huge problems that currently exist in the individual market, notably the fact that thanks to Obamacare, in a few years, we might not even have an individual market.” I think Megan is attempting to frame this and be kind at the same time, a task that is not necessary because this bill is a turkey but perhaps that is a good thing simply for showing the folly of fixing “our long, national nightmare” II, Bride of ObamaCare.

What Is Truth: Conformity Of Mind To Reality. What Is Reality? Bride of ObamaCare Is The BEST DeceptiCONS Can Do – While flogging the soon to be dead horse that is RyanCare’s American Health Care Act (the name is telling of the scale, isn’t it!?) we must admit that the current crop of GOP politicians have no political magic wand or business fairy dust to bring to the table for the purpose of “fixing” er that would be “replacing” ObamaCare. That kind of skill and talent is out there, but it isn’t in Congress. What they do have the “skill” to do is pacify their “base” and enough “conservative” think tanks to ram the Bride of ObamaCare through and claim victory. Now, don’t you feel good about attending the 2009-2010 Tea Party rallies!?

The Middlebury Mob’s Weapon System Yielded A Victory For Moloch’s Mobs That Academics Cannot Explain…But They Are Trying – Peter Wood is the President of the National Association of Scholars. Wood wrote the most complete breakdown I have seen of the assault on Dr Charles Murray’s appearance at Middlebury College. While Woods’ effort is laudable and his reasoned appeal for a change in direction is exactly what someone in his position should do, he has missed the boat now crossing the River Styx and headed for an inevitable rendezvous with Hades. Wood opines on what Middlebury’s faculty should have done and what it should now do without touching the gorilla in the room: Muricah’s yewt’s, non-stop, 40 years-long exposure to the cult of death has produced a cult of death that is as strong in their “religious” faith as Latin Mass Catholics are, without the benefits of God’s Graces of course. Put another way, these mobs and their actions are what the Cult of Death’s weapons system were DESIGNED to create and cultivate. Woods et al are treating this brewing epidemic as a case of flu that there is an antidote the academy can apply for the cure. That is woefully naive thinking and has no basis in reality. Moloch’s Mobs have arrived and if we don’t start treating them like Moloch’s Mobs, Moloch will win not only these battles but the war.

Told Ya So: ObamaCare Is Now As Sure As Death And The GOP Has Adopted It – The 6 year old canard that “conservatives” were going to “repeal ObamaCare” has now finally revealed itself for what it is: a “conservative” version of the same hostile takeover of the medical services industry. The “repeal and replace” scheme will cement into law the Federal monstrosity’s control over the medical industry, make Medicaid an even bigger club to bludgeon/extort the states with, make permanent “pre-existing condition” coverage and finally for an insult to young families, make permanent the provision that 26 year olds can suckle off of daddy’s (or more likely, mommy’s) health insurance teat. Senator Rand Paul of KY seems to be the only resident of Mordor that actually gets what is going on: The GOP is now DEFENDING ObamaCare exactly as I predicted they would. Why? Because they want to govern and need big programs to govern with so “conservative values” can be inserted into them. Senator Paul is having none of this deceit though we must admit he has no chance of being successful in his effort ’cause the fix is and has been in. “ObamaCare provisions dressed up in shiny new GOP-branded clothes would mean the loss of too many conservative votes for passage. But we can do the work we were sent to do. We can repeal now using the 2015 bill that United all republicans. We can immediately turn to the replace bills, with a fair, open process much like our budget. Let everyone with a plan or an amendment come forward and speak.  Let’s debate, vote and put forward a transparent, fair process so that everyone on both sides of the aisle and all sides of the debate is heard.” My Prediction: 60 days from now we’ll be talking about how ObamaCare was replaced by DeceptiCONaCare.

Still have not seen an official version of the House Obamacare replacement bill, but from media reports this sure looks like Obamacare Lite!

The Born Conspiracy: How The Deep State Is Killing Trump’s Revolution From Within – If we have learned one thing since the miraculous election of Donald Trump in November it is that Church’s maxim on Leviathan is true: IT is a living, breathing organism that when threatened, will fight for its life like any other form of life. Thus the waterfall of “leaks” coming from inside President Trump’s own WhiteHouse and now Congress and the rest of the Houses of Power. Patrick J Buchanan breaks this down for us: “Russian hacking of the DNC is a problem, not a scandal. The scandal is this: Who inside the government of the United States is trying to discredit, damage or destroy the President of the United States? For these are the real subversives.” The answer to the question is obvious: those who have a seat at the $4.5 Trillion All-You-Can-Eat Buffet and that list has millions of parasites names on it. I maintain that breaking the union up and going our own way after agreeing to re-establish the ORDER of our affairs is the only way out of this travesty. When will we take this seriously and begin that process?

Listen, Do You Want To know A Secret…LOTS of Secrets!? – The WaPo headline screams: “Inside Trump’s fury: The president rages at leaks, setbacks and accusations.” The level of access to The President, present in these accounts, is something becoming a Showtime series on British monarchs. If there are actually 17 moles willing to turn state’s evidence against Trump TO the “media”, IN HIS White House, he needs to move to Trump Tower and work there until the year 1 plan is set in motion. The story further states the gravity of “the leak”. “This account of the administration’s tumultuous recent days is based on interviews with 17 top White House officials, members of Congress and friends of the president, many of whom requested anonymity to speak candidly.” SEVENTEEN tattle tales!? If this is the case, how can the argument continue to be made that the “Deep State” is not behind the Trump turmoil being concocted inside Mordor’s Houses of sin?

DeceptiCONNED, Trump Edition – President Trump delivered his first address to Congress and the nation, served up heaping helpings of USA! USA! red meat; then, in some passages, sounded like a New Deal era populist. His calls to spend  $1 TRILLION on a new porkulus, succubus, stimulus “infrastructure package” should have brought howls of indignation from those who know Keynesian spending to be a farce but instead it brought whoops of applause. Trump mentioned the word “debt” one time, didn’t mention the looming deficit explosion nor the soon to expire “debt ceiling”.

DeceptiCONNED Flashback – The GOP hypocrites all fell in line to oppose the Obama, $965 BILLION “Stimulus” back in 2009, membah, membah!? Here’s a small sample: “House and Senate Republicans expressed strong opposition Tuesday to President Obama’s $835 billion stimulus package now before Congress. Rep. Zach Wamp, Tennessee Republican, told CNN in no uncertain terms that he will vote against the bill once it reaches the House floor. Democrats hold the majority in the House and Senate, but Mr. Obama seeks bipartisan support for his plan, the biggest such stimulus package in history. “We’re going to vote ‘no,’” Mr. Wamp said. “They’re (the Democrats) going to slam dunk this, and we’re going to go into debt. We’re going to vote ‘no.’” And what are DeceptiCONS saying about Franklin DelanoTrump’s $1 Trillion “infrastructure” which is simply “stimulus” spelled differently.

Not Being Diabolically Correct Will Cost You $20,000 – The EEOC has released the results of a “discrimination” lawsuit brought by a federal worker against another federal worker for the use of the term Hebrew slave in an email exchange over a vacation request. Think I’m making that up? Eugene Volokh has all the diabolically correct details, among them are: “Moreover, the comment was especially personal for S1 because it dredged up memories of how her family was targeted for systematically murder, incarceration, and deportation during the Holocaust. Complainant testified that S1’s comments made her “incredibly sad,” which we find to be a reasonable response to S1’s actions. The fact that S1 may have intended his comment to be a joke or a cliché does not soften the offense any more here than it would if he had uttered an equally offensive racial slur. We determine that a reasonable person in Complainant’s circumstances would find that S1’s comment was severe enough to create a hostile work environment based on her religion. Thus, we find that the AJ properly found that Complainant was subjected to religious harassment….” This is “freedom of religion” in reverse, on steroids. If someone let slip a “Jesus Christ” after stapling their finger to a piece of paper, would that constitute an incident of “religious harassment”!? You already know the answer to that, despite the fact that Blasphemy could have been the intent AND the result.

If At First You Don’t Secede, Try, Try Again – Secession fever is sweeping the continent of Europe as the relics of Christendom grapple with the fact that in the span of 400 years, Europe has had its population decimated by genocide, two World Wars, authoritarian control by Communists and Nazis and now abortion and birth control and all it has to show for it are gilded offices in Brussels, the yoke of the EU’s taxes and an ascendant Islam that threatens what Christendom stave off for 1200 years: a Muslim Caliphate. While ‘Muricans are not wrasslin’ with identical demons they are similar and secession is now back on the table in ‘Muricah too. Patrick J Buchanan thinks this movement will grow, and I concur. “California seceding sounds like a cause that could bring San Francisco Democrats into a grand alliance with Breitbart. A new federalism – a devolution of power and resources away from Washington and back to states, cities, towns and citizens, to let them resolve their problems their own way and according to their own principles – may be the price of retention of the American Union. Let California be California; let red state America be red state America.” Buchanan even quotes Pope Leo XIII’s Rerum Novarum. What Leo predicted has all come true and the process of undo this calamity and restoring the Old World Order must begin…just sayin’.

The “Benedict Option” Relies On The Holy Name Of A Roman Catholic Saint, So Why Is The “Ben-Op” Decidedly NOT Catholic? – Rod Drehere’s new book The Benedict Option will debut next month to much controversy and fanfare and unfortunately at the expense of the work of the book’s Muse, Saint Benedict. I haven’t rad the book yet but I’ve been reading Dreher for years on the subject and he presents a misguided view of what Saint Benedict accomplished which is nothing short of the establishment of the Monastic Life and the spread of Catholicism throughout The Continent. As Brother André Marie reminds us: “Saint Benedict died on March 21, standing before the altar, just after he had received Holy Communion. In his humility, he never became a priest. His life was written by the Pope, Saint Gregory the Great. The Benedictine Order, as we are told in the martyrologies of its monasteries, has given the Catholic Church 57,000 known saints. This great Order has also given the Catholic Church thirty-five Popes, of whom seventeen have been declared either Saints or Blesseds.” That Dreher, a fallen away former Catholic, is using this magnificent example of Catholic piety and humility to promote a quasi-Christian retreat from life is antithetical to the life that Saint Benedict and Benedictines have lived ever since.

Today is World Radio Day Or More Appropriately, World Noise Day – I’m not sure what World Radio Day is all about today but Bishop James recalls that Aldus Huxley wrote about the “Age of Noise” 70 years ago and he was writing about radio. This before “Rock-N-Roll”, soft core porn on Country Music and loudmouths screaming war on talk-radio. Bishop Conley tells us what World Radio Day could be.

Stand With Rand: The Junior Senator From KY Is Hunting DeceptiCONS – I spent two Presidential election campaigns stumping for Congressman Ron Paul, largely because I agreed with him 98% of the time, but I also saw in Paul a man of actual principals who would not be moved by the whims of the Judgement Pornosphere™. Pauls’ son Rand has always shown some of these qualities despite running a mercurial campaign for the GOP nomination won by President Trump. Now it appears that Paul has made it a cause celebre to thwart the DeceptiCONS infiltartion of Trump’s State Department. W. James Antle III points out that Paul is enjoying some success at this including his oath that the war-lusting “Ambassador” John Bolton must not be allowed any position at State.

It’s March 2017 And The Immodesty Is About To Go Nuclear Because It WENT Nuclear – Venerable Bishop Sheen called out ‘Muricah back in the 1960’s while speaking to a group of young Catholics on “Youth and Sex”: “8:15 in the morning, the 6th of August, 1945, when we flew a military plane over this city, when we dropped that atomic bomb on it; that bomb on blotted out boundaries. As Padré Gaetano tells us in Humility of Heart: “And has not a saint abundant reasons, from the thought of his own weakness, to live always in a state of great humility, when he knows that from one hour to another he may lose the grace of God and the kingdom of heaven which he has merited by years of laboriously-acquired virtues? “Unless the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.”
