KingDude: I want to mention to you, very quickly, a project that I’m working on, um, and you will reap the benefits of this project on the 4th of July of this year. For far too long, folks, and i’m speaking to you seriously, here. For far too long, this entire nation has celebrated the 4th of July without a clue as to what they’re celebrating! You know, people just drive out, “let’s go get some fireworks! Uh, i wanna blow up a bottle rocket!” You know, the big endeavor for neanderthal morons like the one in the other room is to see how long it takes a chip of dry ice, when sealed , after you’ve poured water on it, into a two liter coke bottle, and you’ve sealed it, to see how long it takes to explode. That’s the meaning of the 4th of July, isn’t it?

James: “Let’s go blow something up!”

KD: Yeah, let’s go blow something up without knowing why you’re blowing it up. The 4th of July is just another day off from work. I think at some level there’s an abstract, “Well, yeah, that’s the day the Declaratiopn of Independence was signed!”

James: ah, there’s barbecue and beer involved too

KD: …right right, barbecue and beer and there’s probably “nappy-headed-hos” involved too. and all the other things that Al Sharpton was talking about too. I can’t say them, I’ll get in trouble. (Sounclip)

What i want to do, here,…what i want to attempt to do, here, and this is part of my quest to reeducate america and to reignite that fire of patriotism in each and every single one of you because your heritage, our shared heritage is the greatest historical story ever told and it is the greatest disgrace and shame of all humanity that we have allowed ourselves a patriotic amnesia, so we’re going to bring the declaration of Independence back. Independence day…why it’s celebrated, why it matters, why the ideas that are contained in that document, why they matter. One of the things that’s going to be on the 4th of July special, which will air here on Sirius and will be chalked full of so many people that are going to contribute to this, I can’t even give you a short list at this time, but the World War 2 generation is always talked about as our greatest generation and I mean no slight to the veterans because they were a great generation but they’re not the greatest. The greatest generation was the founding generation, and they were just pushed to the back, like “Who were those guys? Whose that Hamilton guy? Oh, he’s the guy on the 20.” No, no, no, that’s Jackson on the 20! Hamilton on the 10. Most school children couldn’t tell you who Ulysses S. Grant is on the 50 dollar bill or what he did. But that founding generation was the greatest generation. It just boggles the mind. You wouldn’t be here! Those World War II vets would have had nothing to defend if it weren’t for the brilliance and foresightedness of the founding generation.

Anyways, we’re working on it. And I’ve actually set a website up, it’s not ready to go. It will contain that and many other historical lessons for your kids. Now, this is something I’m not doing for profit. I’m doing it because I should! Because I feel compelled, and I hope you’ll join me on this journey. Now, just to show how far we are off the historical beaten path we have fallen, and i told Rev X this the day I bought the site. That site should not have been available. There is no way in the world why americanhistory101.org should have been available! How come a college didn’t beat me to that? (soundclip)

americanhistory101.org was available. I didn’t have to buy it from anybody! It was just sitting there!

James: What about “dot com” and “dot net”? Were they taken?

KD: Dot com was taken but not used, it’s just parked. Dot net was available…

It’s a project that’s going to take a lot of effort, a lot of time and it will need the participation of many people other than myself. And i’ll be giving you updates on it. I just wanted to let you know when I told the fine people at Sirius programing about it, there were a lot of “whozzahs” and “holy craps” in the room… “why didn’t anybody else think about this?” Well, we did.

And we’ll have it ready for you for this 4th of July.
