treehouse63 on August 10, 2014 It is too bad that others don’t take the time to read the words actually written by the those that that authored or participated in the founding of the nation. Makes me worry that the work of the three branches reasons for changing the function of the Federal Government and its relationship with states had less than honest motives. Log in to Reply
marty gass on June 18, 2013 Wow!!! Jefferson knew 200 years ago that a truly republican form of government only worked in small areas and would be corrupted quickly when those elected moved farther from those who elected them. Great read. Log in to Reply
scott riker on October 23, 2012 Mike first thanks for the one day pass. In my humble opinion President Jefferson was wrong in asserting that pure representation is best. My study on the constitution has lead me to the conclusion that there is a need to strike a careful balance between the will of the majority and the rights of the minority. May I be so bold as to assert our constitution does or at least did do that. Log in to Reply
ChiefOnLiberty on August 14, 2012 I’m late, but I’ll claim 18. Thanks Dude, this is great stuff. “The system of banking we have both equally and ever reprobated. I contemplate it as a blot left in all our constitutions, which, if not covered, will end in their destruction” Yes Mr. J, indeed it has. Log in to Reply

TheKingDude on June 24, 2012 It’s not brain washing, it’s propagandizing and it happens every hour of every day if you suffer the misfortune of watching Cable News. Note the paragraph where Jefferson calls out NORTHERN secessionists as traitors. Log in to Reply

Rich Napolitano on June 12, 2012 Make that 17….The more you learn about Jefferson the more you realize how far we have strayed from the truth and much of it has happened through education. Log in to Reply
Dave on June 3, 2012 Mike thanks for posting All i can say is….Wow!!! How intuitive. Fast forward to now??? Jefferson really got it (along with a few others). Log in to Reply
TheKingDude on June 3, 2012 That depends on your school of thought. If you are a Lincolnian/Jacksonian then you would say that Jefferson was correctly corrected by Madison in his protests against SC’s nullification acts of 1830-32. If however, you are a Jeffersonian (all 15 of us remaining) then this is brain food! Jefferson was of course, when viewed against the history of the Revolution and what it produced, correct. The nationalists though left just enough ambiguity in the Constitution to ultimately prevail and they rule the country to this day. Sad, but we’re now onto their scheme! Log in to Reply
Sickofitinca on June 4, 2012 Make that 16 of us. After listening to your show I started looking for the information on the real reasons for the War between the States and have found the reasons that it started less than satisfactory. When in high school I barely remember hearing the side of the Southern states. Log in to Reply
TheKingDude on June 6, 2012 Wait until the Audio feature “What Lincoln Killed” comes out. I have done 6 months worth of research from SOURCE documents. – MC Log in to Reply
Valerie Johnson on June 19, 2012 Mike- make that 16 Jeffersonians, please!!! (Rather 17, as my “better-half”, is also! Actually, a descendant of Jefferson, through His sister!). I merely studied at “Mr. Jeffersons’ Academical Village” for 12 years. And visited His home, as often as possible. Still do, when I’m in Virginia. We love your show, and try to listen every night.
