Father Rutler applies a good sense of humor to his flabbergasted state.

The Anita Hilling Of Brett Kavanaugh – I read David Brock’s 1993 bombshell book The Real Anita Hill and it was so good I read it again. In that book, Brock, who now claims he told “white lies” in the book, plays Sherlock Holmes and Sam Spade and using the historical facts that can be known, stitched together the “how-to” part of the Anita Hill story. What I recall of the story is a near perfect match for what is being done to Judge Kavanaugh with the exception being the Dumbocrat party has become hysterical in the evil in trying to savage Kavanaugh. David Harsanyi shares this view.

“There is also no possible outcome in which Democrats will concede Kavanaugh’s innocence, or even concede that we can’t really know what transpired on that night 36 years ago. Republicans can accede to as many hearings as Democrats demand, and it won’t alter any of the liberal rhetoric or perceptions of partisans. Republicans could put Kavanaugh’s classmates under oath and have them deny that anything inappropriate or criminal occurred that night, and it will not matter.”

This is not surprising and only goes to support the lethal and corruptive nature of the Federal monstrosity. That it is complicit in the deaths of everyone on-board TWA Flight 800 is a story that begs to be told, finally.

Dan DeCarlo reminds me this morning of just how insightful The ‘Burbs was as a critique of what the Monkees sang as Pleasant Valley Sunday. Wealthy ‘Murican suburbanites, bored to tears with their latest material acquisitions that render no long term pleasure or happiness and finding purpose in spying on and gossiping about quirky neighbors. DeCarlo points out that in one of the most memorable scenes in the film, Tom Hanks bemoans taking a week-long trip “to the lake house” and would rather stay at home (to spy on the Klopek’s). In the end, the boredom overcomes the protagonists by spurring them into imperative action and the finale it produces doesn’t disappoint.

Only In ‘Muricah-A Sex Scandal Where There Is No Sex – I recall Ann Coulter writing once that because of the Democrat party’s relentless pursuit of destroying the reputation and vocation of anyone that disagrees with them includes baseless charges of their favorite past-time, illicit sex, but thgey almost always forget one ingredient: the sex. So it is with the latest desperate attempt to deny Brett Kavanaugh a seat on the SCOTUS: a woman has surfaced who claims that Kavanaugh groped her at a pool party in HIGH SCHOOL. “Christine Blasey Ford, told The Washington Post that in high school in the early 1980s, Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed at a party and forced himself on her. Ford told the Post that Kavanaugh “groped her over her clothes, grinding his body against hers and clumsily attempting to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it.”

That’s it!? Where’s the beef? At least when the Brits have sex scandals there is actual sex. At least when they have sex assault cases there is actual assault. In this case we have a 35 year old groping event that doesn’t remotely sound violent or even illegal; at worst, it shows that Kavanaugh responded positively to Democrat agitation to pursue illicit sex outside of marriage; shouldn’t he get a Democrat point of Light award or something? Wasn’t there an episode of Sex And The City about a similar event and the girls complained because the “perp” took no for an answer to quickly?

In attendance were many Roman clergy and most notably, the secretary of Pope Benedict XVI and prefect of the papal household, Archbishop Georg Gänswein. Archbishop Gänswein relayed the most amazing story that virtually guarantees the fact that Archbishop Vigano’s testimony is true and that Pope Francis most certainly was told of the evil that was then Cardinal Theodore McCarrick.

This comports perfectly with Vigano’s testimony that Benedict XVI tried vainly to reign in the abuse and abusers and thus, having failed, passed the task on to the supposedly more vigorous and younger, Bergoglio, Pope Francis.
