Here’s Why Political Talk Radio Is A Waste Of Your Time

Mandeville, LA – I received this note as a Facebook message on new Year’s Day. The last conversation I had with Landon H. was not one I filed as “happy space!” and occurred a few months before SiriusXM made me “too Catholic for satellite radio”.

I owe you an apology because I stood against you during your transition [from founding father to Desert Father talk]. It’s something I couldn’t understand, how you could turn your show from what it was on SXM to, God… “How dare you…” is something that often pissed me off…-Landon H.

I am humbled and inspired by Landon’s outreach and his soul’s new course. One of my confessors, Fr. J. tells me when I call or talk to him for counsel in my times of discouragement: “You know the Saints tell us that every time just ONE SOUL turns to or back to The Faith there is great rejoicing in heaven!!”

Next time someone asks me why I chose the broadcast topic of restoring The Order of Christendom over restoring the order of The Founders, I’ll ask them to read this.

Dear Mike, I owe you a few things I’ve found, but mostly an apology.

I found my Faith this year Mike. I was “called to repentance” shall we say back in July. I’ve since run over 500 miles, lost 45 lbs, and have a sober mind, and a clear heart. I found my way back to the Good Book, and have been attending a place of worship 2 times a week for services and bible study on Wednesday’s. I’m now nearly 190 days clean.

It’s something I couldn’t understand, how you could turn your show from what it was on SXM to, God… “How dare you…” is something that often pissed me off, and thus lead to me not listening to your show anymore.

There’s something you talked about though that has always stuck with me, The Saints, and I being raised in Saint Anthony, Idaho I’d never even bothered to Wiki that name. I have since, and am working daily to adjust my life so that I can serve The One who truly matters. I know that my gratuity in you standing in your Faith really means kibbles here but thank you Mike, thank you for standing and being a light in a dark world. I don’t know what it took for you to find your path, but I know the costs that have been associated with mine, including heavy trauma and abuse as child in the Mormon church all coming back to me.

I’m beginning to understand that “rebirth” that has been promised, and it has been a truly eye opening and expanding experience.

Thank you Landon for your inspiring act of humility and thank God for breathing His Graces into your soul to turn you away from your destructive path. Although we cannot take Landon’s note to the bank for a loan or cash it in for Bitcoin, it provides a measure of worth that is far more valuable and has the potential of having eternal value. No, I’m not going to erect a big-top tent and start a revival tour and show. We’ll just keep doing what we’ve been called to do: put our vocations to strive to become saints above our vocations in this material world. That’s really all I did that made Landon and hundreds of thousands of others including former colleagues so upset. For those still following Mammon I understand the anger because souls are the payoffs now and those souls are drained from his account. Not on my account or anything that I have done, mind you, other than that whole Order restoration thing.

I’ve got a regular adage on the Mike Church Show these days that makes perfect sense in this context now: The demons are ascendent; they’ve come for the children; and they’re not taking no for an answer. Landon H. just told them “no”.
