Know thy Dewey’s!
In American history there are at least three well known Deweys [in other words, John Dewey did NOT invent to the Dewey Decimal System!]:
1.) The Dewey Decimal System is a library classification system first published in the United States by Melville Louis Kossuth Dewey (December 10, 1851 – December 26, 1931) in 1876.
2.) John Dewey (October 20, 1859 – June 1, 1952) was an American philosopher, psychologist, leading activist in the Henry George “single tax” movement, and educational reformer whose ideas have been influential in education and social reform. Dewey is one of the primary figures associated with the philosophy of pragmatism and is considered one of the founders of functional psychology. A well-known “public intellectual,” he was also a major voice of Progressive Education and modern liberalism [i.e., democratic socialism].
3.) Admiral George Dewey (December 26, 1837–16 January 16, 1917) was Admiral of the Navy, the only person in U.S. history to have attained the rank. Admiral Dewey is best known for his victory at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War. The city of Dewey, Oklahoma was named in his honor. It was founded in 1889 by Jacob A. Bartles [north of “Bartlesville”].

It was a JOKE.

As usual, I do not know whether to laugh or cry at this lost soul. I feel Mike’s frustration. It is so tiresome having to repeat ones self endlessly to each misguided lamb heading to slaughter whose path you cross and strike up “conversation” with. This rube or should I say boob is yet another candidate to be a poster boy for the jingoistic, nationalistic, USA, USA, USA!!!! collective. Just another piece of governmental and politcal fodder that will turned to excrement once his usefulness (money, vote, etc.) is used up. Ignorance is bliss, so they say, but you would not know it from all the vitriol seething from “both sides of the aisle”. Yet despite the odds, I will continue to try and be cordial and “educate” , as best I can, those who would be educated and desire to be.

I wish I had someone that was willing to listen! So many that I thought would understand simply do not care.
smeffen on September 28, 2012
I hear that. I think possibly that the people who surprised you and I by not seeming to care are just beaten down and exhausted. They are teetering on the edge of just saying screw it and just go along to get along. I was there once myself and thank God something just awoke in me (true desire to be free and have liberty) and drives me. I wish more people would develop or awaken the desire for true liberty and independence. All it takes is to be objective and question everything. At least for I, that is what sparked it. As Mike says, unplug the Matrix cable from the back of your head.

Oh yes, because every day that I listen to your program, you talk about voting for Obama. What a knob that person is. Apparently all they DID was listen to 5 minutes of your show. Ever. You seemed to agree with Steyn today when he said “who knows if Romney would be able to turn this thing around, but voting for Obama ensures that this WILL continue”. I do not understand why people don’t ‘get’ that Romney is not a sure chance to do better. Even if he does not create more new spending, the current spending will continue to pile up and never go down, until the US itself goes down (in flames, in the can, down the bog – chose your own suitable phrase). Who is going to tackle that? Does Romney talk about tackling the current spending, or does he talk about future spending? Gee… but it’s not alright to criticize him or be downright scared of what is going to happen no matter which one of them is at the helm. We have never liked Romney and did not need The King Dude to tell us that. We called him the Volcano Insurance Salesman (from Family Guy), right from day one of the Rep Debates.

That’s what you get for questioning neocons. It automatically makes you a “dirtly liberal” to those that love mindless rhetoric.
