Newtown, Q: What Would The Founding Fathers Do? A: Pray

todayDecember 18, 2012 12

Background

Mandeville, LA – Mandeville, LA – Mike Church’s daily Pile of Prep, chock full of Founding Fathers, Christmas Spirit Fiscal Cliff goodness and other [r]epublican stories used to perform the Mike Church Show on Sirius/XM Patriot channel 125. “Not long ago, there existed in our hearts “a fear of God. How, we would ask ourselves, if we commit an evil act like murder, will we answer at God’s judgment seat? For He will decide if we enter what the president called in Newtown, God’s “eternal house in heaven.” But if God is dead, not to worry. Just put the gun to your head and pull the trigger, and it’s over. No trial. No disgrace. No prison. Nothing to worry about anymore. No voice of conscience told Adam: Do not do this evil thing! Now he is no longer a nobody, a nerd, a recluse. He is famous.” – Patrick J Buchanan

Carney: Kids are already much safer at school than anywhere else in public. That may be statistically true but what does that say about the rest of our “public safety” then? Why are there so many Mass Murdering Madmen (MMM)? Were there MMM’s in relative quantities 100 years ago? 200?

Buchanan: Once men feared God’s judgement for committing murder, you can figure out what happens when they no longer do

Flipper: Morning Joe backs bus up over gun owners after Newtwon and then backs it up again

Shock Photo: What in Jefferson’s holy name do American Flags or citizenship have to do with memorializing massacred 4 year olds!?

A sensible, Christian, humble response to Newtown’s loss of innocence

VIDEO: “Deck the Halls With Macro Follies” – a Christmas video every Austrian can love

TIC: Do you have a “right” to what someone else has earned, at any level or amount, so you can be happy? Where does happiness come from? (hint, you will NOT find it in a Macy’s box!)

So the “conservative” solution to soulless, FDA medicated zombies, marching into Sandy Hook schools and shooting 4 year olds is to arm up all the teachers? Why not just send all the kids to military schools and arm THEM up?

The infamous “RG III isn’t black enough” sports caster has been suspended and somewhere Rush Limbaugh wonders why he isn’t in the booth with Tirico & Gruden

The emerging trilogy which began as “Liberty Wars” led to “Darth Boehner Strikes Back” amy not end with “Return of The RonPauli” as the Boehner purge of Justin Amash and its fallout is feted by the amenuensis of James W. Antle III

Non-interventionists cannot agree on the utility of Chuck Hagel becoming Sec of Defense not realizing that the real fight over Hagel or anyone else at DOD is entirely a matter for the war-waging Senate

Bemoaning the decline of Evangelical Christianity as an ethos is to be an expected as it is a departure from what centralized and once held it together: Canon & tradition

Is “American Conservatism” in a crisis or is it more true that conservatism, as once defined, cannot exist practically among a State as large as the one that is the United States of America? I side with the latter view and thus believe the “conservative path” is one of republics, [r]epublicanism and decentralization organized around a restored moral order

AmConMag: Is THIS the future of Christianity? Or a dystopian view of an unaltered slide whose un-alteration is not yet a reality

1925 School Massacre: No one ever brings up that there was a school massacre involving bombs long before there were automatic weapons

AS I POSTED EARLIER THIS WEEK.

    shooting sermon
A very bad man killed a lot of children in Connecticut. What does the Bible tell us about what we should do and say and think.
When Jesus was told his friend had died, “Jesus wept”. And this is why we do today and for a short time. We weep for the lost ones, we weep for the memories they will never make. And our soul is scarred by the event and the memories of the slain.
Then, Jesus went to the grave and said,’Lazarus, the game ain’t over. Come out and play.’ He could say that, because he had the power to say and do it. I can’t find that he even had to call on the power of his father, The Lord God Almighty. He possessed the power.
We do not have the power. Neither does the government. Nor does any enmity on the face of the plant,’for we battle not with earthly things but of the.spirit world.’ There was nothing any person could have done to prevent this and we should not attempt to take any actions out of a sense of guilt or sorrow that would cause us to wage a earthly battle on a spiritual enemy.

This event is closer linked to that of Job, who was blessed by God for many years. Suddenly his family was killed, his possession stolen and his home burned down. Job first covered himself in ashes and wept. This is what we should be doing for a little while. Weeping for our loss. Sympathizing and empathizing with those more closely effected.
The church sent a group to ask Job what he had done to make God angery. Just the same question the reporters are asking now on every major network. Job said he did nothing and that the Lord had not convicted him of anything. This is what we should stand on. This event was not our fault, not our consequence for an action or inaction. We must be convinced of that certainty before we can move on. There is nothing we could have or should have done that would have stopped this event, nor could we, should we take blame for it.
Job finally asks God ‘why.’ The response is dramatic and sets an end to the whole matter. ‘Where were you when I made the stars? Can you make a drop of water fall from the sky, or make a blade of grass grow? Who do you think you are to ask me why?’
So I ask you. Who do you think you are, that you think you can control the evil in a man’s heart? How do you think the government can legislate the terror of a man’s mind? Why would you expect the police to know every place an evil person will cause destruction.
Tragedies such as this come from the deepest recesses of a man’s soul, from an evil mind, from a deprived spirit left open to the dark, heinous spirits that work though those close minded to the work of good thoughts and gentle spirits.
I would like to think it could not happen again. But there will always be those black souls. We could lessen the frequency of these events only by sharing the good thoughts and our gentle spirits with those around us. God and the belief in a higher power of good can be spread to the dark souled person only by
You. You are the good spirit. Just as this shooter was the bad spirit. So, go spread the news of the Greatest spirit, whose birth we celebrate soon. For in a few months we will celebrate his death at the hands of evil people, for the glory of God and the Heavenly Kingdom.
