No. We are on lecture 7.

I guess to be overprepared is better than underprepared.
Good evening, Jas Wil, et alia! Yes, it’s seven, and being over prepared is better.
Thank you!

Hello Brother Andre Marie how are you doing?
Well, thank you, Paul.
And you?
Very well thanks I am enjoyeing tis class
I’m very glad for that!
Mickeous, did you ever get the lecture playing?
On page 17, there should be two lines leading from Totum Reale to the Non-essentiale and the Essentiale columns, right?
Sorry about the YouTube crap out
Freeper: I think we are on page 14
Good catch, Freeper. I believe you are correct. We’ll have to fix that.
McdougallDarcy: He’s covering chapter 4 of the notes, which goes from 14 to 17.
I know, I want to give time to answer my question. this is the 4th time I’ve listened to this CD.
Thank you Brother
You’re welcome.
Thank you, BAM!
Freeper: Got it. I didn’t look hard enough
We will begin the discussion in just a few moments!
Brother are you there?
Yes.
Brother Andre Marie, this might be useful for the Latin in the course. What do you think? http://www.catholicapologetics.info/catholicteaching/philosophy/definitions.htm
Google, Latin to English works pretty well too
…looking, freeper…
Nice little dictionary
Eternity = wholesome, simultaneous, and perfect possession of the interminable life.
That’s Boethius’ definition.
I love it.
This looks like a very valuable tool, freeper!
Glad to hear that!
This is pretty much what Brother Francis says… 48. Division = a sentence which separates a thing or a noun into different parts. 49. Definition = the sequence which exposes the nature of a thing or the signification of a term.
I wonder where this was copied from. It’s very good.
Can you hear us?
Yes, Mr. W
Got you all, 5×5!
BAM: The link is the only source I saw. Didn’t look further.
Two hours sounds like a full evening, IMHO.
LOST is the word, BAM!
These concepts are pretty dense and take a while to unpack
Yes I had to listen to the AEIO at least 7 times
Aha! Good idea if we start after Logic.
Audio gone-
I have to listen to each lecture 3 – 6 times and take notes. I’d prefer to go slower. We skipped one of the lectures and I was lost.
Can you hear us now?
Freeper can you hear us…
Wisdom takes a lifetime, right?
Yes, Wil.
Audio out for me too
I just started getting some buffering issues
TK: Me also
seems to be back
back up
Wisdom does take a lifetime…
paused and it restarted
feeding back, repeating several times
i finaly can hear!!
Mickeus welcome back
thannk you!
Analogize it to vision. Your eyes grasp the physical entity. Your intellect grasps the nature of the thing.
Dictionary says “mental object.” (logical suppositions)
By “reality” it is meant being physical and temporal?
ah…I understand the metaphyical beyond to be included
ok…that is much more clear Mr. W.
Brother too
Great
ive got my grammar handbook ready
perfect

That document is compliments of Freeper.
awesome
BAM: so when we notice, we are sensing the notes?
McdougallDarcy: Bang on!
The five declensions: Nominative, Genitive, Dative, Accusative and Ablative
Got it. Thanks BAM
Add some Tony Chachere’s…BAM!
Symbolic logic: 00010010001001001
What are you doing HAL?
Asimov was president of the Humanist Society
is that when he wastalking about changing the definition of the word?
Good night Brother, Mike, David and All.
Goodnight George
MM: I don’t know.
Goodnight, George.
it is
‘Night George
couldnt remem nominalism
It also seems that “settled” knowledge are those important concepts we should forget for the sake of “progress”
Yes, Jas, that is correct. Tradition and past personages are rejected and only new things are good…and “change”…the slogan of a recent election.
What is so disappointing is the ease by which we are led astray…
agreed freep
Yes, freeper, but this course is an antidote to that process. You will not be led astray after you are emboldened by philosophia perennis.
From your lips to God’s ears!
it seems that even within Latin “being” or the infinitive “esse” is unique from all other concepts as it is the basis of all others.
Yes, jas, and you will see that the verb “to be” is irregular in all languages because of its simplicity and profundity.
it is also absent in some languages in reverence
Excellent conversation tonight, thanks everyone.
Interesting…John.
“To be” is also the most irregular word in most languages.
the most irregular verb
Good night, gentlemen! Thank you! (Mike, can we get the notes for CD 7, please?)
sounds easy
21
this was the first night I got the computer to work, it was wonderful!
Sounds great!
Thanks everyone… I’m looking forward to the next 8yrs of this class. 🙂
Dream on, Mike!
I look forward to Tuesday nights!
We need to send some trappist ales to Studio D to help with the nerves.

Thanks everyone. I am really enjoying this and pleased beyond measure that y’all are taking this course. Next week philosophy and pints!
From WIKI: Trappist beer is brewed by Trappist breweries. Eleven monasteries — six in Belgium, two in the Netherlands and one each in Austria, Italy and United States — currently brew beer and sell it as Authentic Trappist Product.
Thank you Mr. W.
I’ll put together the list.
You are welcome and goodnight to all.
