The Stultifying Excess of 24/7 News Has Reached Idiocracy’s “ASS” Status

Mandeville, LA –  A Facebook friend asked if I was really shocked by what CNN et al has down with the 24/7/365 coverage of Malaysian Air Flight 370 coverage. Here are a few of my latest Tweets on the matter.

I responded to my FaceBook friend: I am “shocked” at this unprecedented, insipid presentation. Comparing it to the movie “ASS” from “Idiocracy” does the ASS great disservice. We have reached a level of electronic saturation now that the actual content served is immaterial provided content is served. With that as a basis, how can any form of intelligent communication survive and flourish?
