Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – There are more than one manufacturer of weapons and ammunition that is used in said weapons that are deciding they’re going to leave the states that are persecuting their industry. I would say they are persecuting people that, for the most part, by and large, are law abiding. They’re not running around willy-nilly shooting people just because they have weapons. They’re not running around flashing their weapons out in the street. They’re doing nothing of the sort. We have a migration now away from blue states, if I could be so vulgar and stereotypical. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…

Mike: AG, you sent me two stories last night in the rundown that really piqued my attention and had me browsing around on the internet looking for corroborating stories. One story that you sent tells the story of how gun manufacturers in Connecticut and in Colorado are deciding that they’re going to pack up their factories, leave Connecticut, and move to states that are more hospitable to them. When the governor of Connecticut was asked about this, he said, [mocking] “I want to be clear. Let’s be clear here, we’re not trying to run these guys out of town. We’re not trying to get them to leave. We’re not trying to take their jobs and their manufacturing plants. All we’re trying to do is say that they have to sell a product that’s legal in our state.” Fair enough.
This is not an isolated action, though. There are more than one manufacturer of weapons and ammunition that is used in said weapons that are deciding they’re going to leave the states that are persecuting their industry. Connecticut is a blue state, reliably so. Colorado, kind of but by and large a blue state. I guess it depends on where you’re at in Colorado, too. You have a diaspora of legal gun manufacturers that are saying: We’re voting with our feet.
One guy that is the head of an arms company that is still based in Connecticut but won’t be for long said: This is just a shame. We’re going to have to leave the state whose motto was “The Constitution State.” While the gun manufacturers are leaving, sales of weapons are through the freaking roof. Unprecedented is the term that we keep hearing. [mocking] “These are unprecedented sales. We’ve never seen anything like this.” They are not slowing down. They are continuing.
If you went to ZeroHedge.com last night, you might have seen this story: “Weaponized America: Sturm, Ruger Backlog Doubles; Gun Production, Shipments Surge.” Tyler Durden writes:
[reading]
Whether it is due to the recent governmental attempt to enforce assorted gun controlling measures in the aftermath of the Newtown, CT shooting, or, merely driven by the same catalyst that saw a surge in gun sales four years ago, namely the presidential election, one thing is certain: America is weaponizing itself at an unheard of pace, with both Sturm, Ruger shipments and units produced surpassing 500,000 each in one quarter for the first time in history.
[end reading]
Mike: I clicked the link to go look at Durden’s sources. His sources are filings made to the Securities and Exchange Commission. The source is viable and reliable, unless the gun manufacturers are lying and are asking to be taxed on profits and things they’re not making. Here’s what I found in going through the material: Sturm, Ruger units shipped, over 505,000 units shipped in quarter one of 2013. That would be winter. If you go back to winter 2009, a mere four years ago, you will see that a little over 205,000 units were shipped, meaning that the demand for the weapon has now doubled. There are twice as many people seeking the weapons, seeking to buy the guns. Talk to any person that’s in the gun trade, talk to any person that likes to talk about guns, that’s an enthusiast, that’s a collector, that’s a shooter, maybe even a battle re-enactor, however they are associated with the gun trade, they will tell you you cannot find and cannot purchase certain kinds of ammo anymore. It’s not that it’s been made illegal. It has been made illegal in a de facto manner, meaning the fact is that it’s basically illegal because you can’t find it. What has happened is there has been a stockpiling of ammunition, especially when you’re looking for the .223 or .557 rounds, as I believe most of you call them, that would go into what are derisively known as “assault weapons.” You can’t find the ammo.
Why isn’t anyone putting two and two together and asking the question? What are people arming up for? Here’s the question I put to you the audience out there: Are you arming up because you think a sweep of your neighborhood a la Boston is heading your way sometime in the near future and it may be federale forces that are sweeping your neighborhood and they may not be knocking on doors? They may just be going, [mocking] “They look like troublemakers in that house over there. We’ve got satellite intel that that clown has been shooting arrows in his backyard. Bread the door down.” Are you arming up because you believe that your own United States federal government is a larger threat and enemy than Al-Qaeda poses, is a larger threat and enemy than any other foreign army poses? Are you arming up because you believe that governmental forces are going to make it so that you cannot purchase your own weapons in the near future, that there’s an outright ban on the way, and if there’s an outright ban on the way, like hell are you going to not be armed and able to protect yourself?
My editorial that will run tonight on the New Orleans-based ABC26 WGNO TV starts off with the phrase “Shoot first, ask questions later.” It’s a story about how a man, who has yet to be identified who lives in the mid-city area of the City of New Orleans, on Sunday afternoon had to shoot and kill an intruder who broke the door down of his home. The man was in the house with, it is believed, his wife and children and some other family members. After a shouting match, he had no choice, according to his story, but to then shoot the intruder. He shot him dead right there on the scene. He shot first and asked questions later because the guy was all bloodied up. All indications were that this was some deranged individual that was roaming the streets of mid-city New Orleans, drunk or on drugs or some manner. He’s not with us any longer. In that particular instance, that gentleman shot first and asked questions later in defending his own home. Will people be shooting first and asking questions later somewhere down the road and defending themselves from the encroachment of their government? You have an intruder that was shot entering that man’s home. Are people going to be shooting at an intrusive government? If not, why the weaponizing?
I told you the story yesterday of a friend of mine who is not only arming up but is so concerned about this that he purchased all the manufacturing supplies that he needed so that he can make his own ammo. I believe the way you guys call it is you can repurpose your own ammunition. You can re-powder it, put your own rounds in there, assemble the bullet and what have you. I received a lot of email about this yesterday. The American public has not been at arms like this and feeling as though there is an existential threat to their very survival since the election of Abraham Lincoln in November of 1860. We all know what happened after that election. We all know what ensued in the following four years. The fact of the matter is, if you read the history of the time, the people that ultimately went along with their politicians’ desires to sever their relationship from the union did so because they thought that all negotiation with the Northern states and with the federal government was at an end. There was no more compromise they were willing to give. There was no more compromise that they were willing to accede to for fear that their very way of life and their existence would be made impossible if they did so.
This seems to me to be what is driving the arming up of the populace. It’s the only explanation to me that makes any sense. I try to counsel patience and carefulness, solemnity in a manner like this. You don’t want to be the one that fires the next first shot heard round the world. The statistics and the numbers don’t lie, folks, they don’t lie. There is an absolutely shocking, unprecedented amount of weaponry being stored by the American citizens. I do not believe it is to protect from armed or unarmed thieves that may intrude into your home while you’re enjoying football, basketball, golf, or whatever other electronic distraction you’re enjoying on a Sunday afternoon. What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on here?
There’s another question that I could ask here: If so many people are weaponizing themselves because they believe that their own government is coming to get them and attack them, then why aren’t you out there demanding of your political class to begin the process of severing the bond? Why go to war? Why arm up for the war? Shouldn’t you begin the negotiations to extricate yourself from the political bands that have connected you with another and assume among the powers of the earth the separate yet equal station that the laws of nature and nature’s God entitle you to?

In all my years as a gun collector and hunter I’ve never seen anything like it. No guns (unless your rich), no ammo and not even the supplys to make ammo. Add to that the government trying to take away the arms people do have at every turn! It crazy and going to be even more nuts when the welfare money runs out. That’s why the working class are hording ammo and buying guns, to protect what they have when the looting starts!

Mike, I no longer trust even my local politicians to do the proper thing. I certainly will not trust anyone elected by the sheeple any longer with my liberty or life. I will not be the one to start it but have no qualms about going down giving better than I got. The system as it is just does not work and our ignorant and apathetic friends and neighbors who are geting theirs at my expense will never be educated out of their ignorance. They will only wake up when the shooting begins and only when the are being shot at by their beloved benefactor
