Mandeville, LA – Mike Church‘s daily Pile of Prep, chock full of the latest [r]epublican news, reading selections and Mike’s take on the latest overreach by the Leviathan, inserting a tentacle into your truck and SUV’s dashboard now. Read along with Mike’s historical viewpoint to help make sense of it all plus other [r]epublican stories used to perform the Mike Church Show on Sirius/XM Patriot channel 125. “If in case of a scission of the union, party spirit will still be natural, how can it be said that our present situation, the characteristic of which is party spirit, is unnatural. A transference of this ascendency [of the East] to other individuals [the South] will change the tyrant, but not remove the evil. Did the British people ever gain by a change of ministry f Saturated are preferable to hungry flies. A Southern aristocracy oppressing the Northern States would be as detestable as a Northern domineering over the Southern States. And what is the proper time for opposing this ascendency. Shall it be suffered to run through its natural course? How many years will bring it to decrepitude? Let England and all personal ascendencies reply. Let the ancient and modern system of villenage illustrate. Let them prove that such usurpation upon the rights of man are more assailable the more they are matured. • • • You will evidently see that the perfection and not the scission of the union was the object of the letter you refer to, to which end an appreciation of the strength of its [the Union’s] soundest parts will probably tend, a probability of which the reigning power is so well convinced that it omits no means of its depreciation.” John Taylor to Thomas Jefferson, July, 1798
Want out of ObamaCare and the health insurance racket? Try self-insuring (while the federates still allow it)
Senator Rand Paul: “Let’s have a flat tax!” Establishment hacks whose livelihood depends on the “federal” crime family’s punitive tax and redistribute system “Fine but the rate has to be high enough to guarantee our non-productive, non-contributions to the non-market based sector of the redistributive community!”
Daddy, can you read me a government approved bedtime story at my government approved bedtime?
Under what authority does 1. The NHTSA exist and why don’t the “conservatives” in Congress defund them and 2. Use that same authority to compel auto manufacturers to instal “backup cameras” in all new SUVs and trucks?
Evem if Hobby Lobby wins, We lose? Patrick Deneeen on the rise of consumerism and how even the most “Christian retailers” among us have succumbed to the demands of the capitalist system
Shocking: The marriage falls precipitously AFTEr the advent of sexual revolutions, gender and manners resolutions and some “conservatives” think the answer lies in studying “data” to formulate “policy” that will centrally plan what amounts to a Christian Community of loving, fertile families!?
Nomocracy in Politics: There are HUGE differences between neo-conservatism (which isn’t conservative at all) and Paleo or Trad-con conservatism (I prefer [r]epublican)
What happens to the radical Libertarian who believe in the pagan belief that we “own” our bodies? As John Zmirak explains, this leads to death in the form of abortion
The Senator Ted Cruz, Obamacare poll story is just ridiculous. Yes, Senator, let’s get people riled up over an act that 1. has already passed (5 years ago) 2. Is now irrevocable law 3. by posting silly social media “polls” which will do what precisely? Give the idiots arguing through their pseudonyms over points 1 and 2 above?
Remember when I encouraged you to read who the Founders READ? Algernon Sidney was one of the four most read of the day. He was the pseudonym taken by the great [r]epublican jurist from Virginia Spencer Roane whose battles with nationalists over e.g. McCulloch vs Maryland should be required reading. Roane has a role in my film “The Spirit of ’76”
Catholic Cardinal to Obama: You are the biggest threat to Christianity in 3 generations (gee, I wonder who was a threat 3 generations ago? Hmmm, play that card and you lose the game, right?)
Has “universal ubiquity” in today’s pop music, which isn’t even pop anymore, killed the narrative? Has “music” now become the soundtrack for a secular life led in a direction that never produces happiness or satisfaction? Richard Powers seems to think so and I think he is partially correct. What’s missing is the umbrella of universal fear of what Dante described as an “Inferno”….
Romney doubles down on our biggest ENEMY, Russia, telling CBS Obama was naive and got hosed because the U.S. wasn’t showing enough leadership (read: dropping enough bomb threats) as Crimea voted to join Russia. What would Romney have done? Rolled tanks and missiles into Ukraine and demand Crimea rescind her vote?
Episode III of the “Rethinking The American Union” by Marshall DeRosa Evaluating The Union From The Base of The Iceberg. “If you consider yourself to be sympathetic to Anti-Federalists principles and question the “legitimacy and practical sovereignty of the federal government and its proxy organizations,”[i] welcome to the base of the iceberg. If you don’t sense a chill, keep reading…”
Rethinking The American Union Symposium – Allen Mendenhall’s “Secession and Messianic Statism Part II” is the most well thought out, provocative yet motivational from the reclaim liberty and the liberty of the Spirit, I have read since Gildersleeve’s Creed of The Old South. Folks, STOP what you are doing and read this, then read it to your kids, then read it to your grandmother, then print it and slip it in your neighbor’s mailbox. An excerpt “The American Union no longer represents America. America is dead, and the American Union killed it. In its place is a consolidated bureaucracy that carries out standardized programs to enforce uniform mediocrity.”
Rethinking the American Union, Symposium, rolls on with Allen Mendenhall’s “Secession and messianic statism Part I” at Nomocracy in politics.
Ooooh Dear Leader is really after the liberty of Russian politicians now, listing them on an expanded list on the Director’s Cut edition of his To Russia With Love-DVD sanctions disc
The latest from the NSA is just mind-boggling. The agency can record 1 months worth of phone calls from an entire COUNTRY and then play them back as an analyst requests. If this capability exists for a foreign country imagine what they are doing with OUR calls and also, what if the country is Russia or China? This brings the cyber war to your and my desktops in a manner that is frightening. Do you want to be the target of Chinese spies? This program is called MYSTIC and joins twin brother PRISM in unprecedented surveillance.
SHOCKUH: There are over 5 MILLION feds with security clearance. BOGGER SHOCKUH: The NSA has now been charged with monitoring all of them. I wonder what Senator Feinstein will say about that? Point is, the Leviathan created a crisis, filled it with security clearance, creates a new crisis of those employees “leaking” and now “fixes” the new crisis with…. MORE Leviathan, is this a great scam or what!?
Spyin’ Eyes II – The NSA is also pretending to be YOUR Facebook page so you will give it access to your hard drive, download malware and open your personal life up for all the janitors and “analysts” that want to see it. Does anyone remember the spoof app “Spoofbook?” this is Spoofbook with a criminal agenda

Why is it a bad idea to have a standing army just laying around? CATO, the 18th century Whig, read by most of the Founders, explains as an Englishmen, meaning this school of thought comes from the conservative tradition the Founders inherited and defended
When you hear your “conservative” friends yodel on endlessly about the “Liberal Media” or the corrupt “MSM” as they are convinced this is a recent event, send them here to go read Mark Twain’s speech of 1873 about the “corrupt press”
Here’s an interesting work that I recently discovered “The Crowd” by Guztave Le Bron a fascinating study of how crowds control nations and what nations become control crowds. No, it isn’t a paradox, it is the study of how inertia in public affairs is almost always missing when “change” is lusted for

This 1860 classic work details the type of manners and etiquette every young man should learn and live his life by. I just started reading the work myself and look forward to sharing much of it here and on-air. “THE GENTLEMEN’S BOOK OF ETIQUETTE, AND MANUAL OF POLITENESS”

Are American corporations guilty of hoarding their cash, robbing their employees and generally being the most selfish jerks in the history of capitalism? It is hard to argue against the fact that the rich are getting richer and that the value of middle class work has declined but is that an economic condition in pure $$ and cents or is it the result of that poverty of values we talk about so often? I choose the latter…
Mish Shedlock says bulls**t to this by pointing out that it is the top 0.01 of a per cent of the wealthy who are being so enriched
Pew Research Poll: Most say we shouldn’t be involved in the affairs of Russia and the Ukraine
Patrick J Buchanan: Who and what is Vladimir Putin? Well folks he could be an ally, and I mean that in the free trade sense of the word, but instead he is being caricatured by American war-hawks into a madman who must be stopped at ALL costs. Gee and I wonder who will bear those costs in blood and treasure? Secede before its too late and McCain, Obama, Kristol, Fox, MSNBC et al get us into WWIIII
The forgotten Baron de Mandeville was the inspiration behind the work of Adam Smith and Samuel Johnson, Scots who developed the theories of capital use for productivity and the first dictionary “We did build that” is an interesting read
WaPo says it is time to start taking Rand Paul seriously as in PRESIDENT Rand Paul
Putin uses Western media to defend the secession of Crimea from the Ukraine, yes he is an authoritarian, yes he is President of the Big Bad Russian bear but he still write better op-eds than Obama or John McCain
ST PATRICK’S DAY UPDATE: I lamented the fact that this great Saint of the Catholic Church and to the people of Ireland has had his celebration day, contained in the Church’s calendar on March 17 for centuries, turned into a spectacle of sex and hedonism. The incompatibility of the two celebrations should be clear to all, save those secular pagans who insist that the Saint and the church “converted” the Irish by force. Here is a translation of St Patrick’s journal, chronicling who it was that murdered the Irish and why.

The Fame of Our Fathers: What makes a famous Founder famous and why are so many, once famous, now not known at all? The answer lies partly in the fickleness of any given age and what it needs to exalt itself, the rest comes from the Founders own pursuit of Fame as I chronicled in Fame of Our Fathers. Here’s an audio sample explaining “conditores imperiorum” and you can buy the 3 CD set there
Do we really need “scientific research” to demonstrate the point that materialistic people are not very happy people? Perhaps because they are relentlessly in pursuit of things that once obtained are useless and do not add joy to one’s life like choosing to perform acts of charity with no sign of reward in sight

The end is near, global warming IS going to kill all of life on Earth! So sayeth the UN’s IPCC latest report on “climate change”. The IPCC refuses to acknowledge that solar cycles and large gravitational objects through the cosmos have any impact at all on climate. Only that Man, evil, despicable Man is responsible for the weather.
MEanwhile, S. Fred Singer, climate scientist, assures us that “nearly all evidence indicates that it is Nature not Man that is responsible for climate change.”
