Radio DeceptiCONNED – Years ago, I withdrew my consent to the “conservative” noise machine known to Mike Church Show fans as The Talk radio Mafia for precisely the well earned criticisms Conor Friedersdorf tosses the TRM’s way as Trumpzilla’s nomination is all but assured. Replacing intelligent, philosophy based dialogue with news of the minute, lathered with hyperbolic, opinion driven rhetoric predicting the end of the grand ‘Murican experiment and what to do about it, proceeded apace. As Friedersdorf points out, the Trump bashers have only themselves to blame for paving the way for vulgar, opinionated pronouncements allegedly aimed at our collective decline. “As movement conservatism reaps the pathologies that it sowed (even as its more responsible arms try to kill a monster that they were institutionally complicit in creating), I return once more to the talk radio host who first proved that the base could fall for a polarizing egomaniac with a penchant for crudely insulting women. Rush Limbaugh still purports to be a conservative. Yet he is still engaged in rhetoric so perfectly suited to fueling Trumpism that it is hard to believe he is unaware.” What is truly amazing about this phenomena is that it doesn’t have to be this way yet that alternative route has been made alien and “deep…and redundant…not enough… meat …on the news of the day” by the same bloviated wind-machine called Talk Radio. So contemplation on the ultimate causes of things, thus contemplation on their solves needs to give way to the up to the minute, latest act of outrage. Does no one else see the danger in our intellect being constantly stewed in a putrid soup of “the now” which is always fleeting and always trivial when held up against the light of the whole Truth?

Trumpzilla Whimpers On ‘Murican Exceptionalism Abroad, It’s a Good Whimper – Now we REALLY know why the “conservatives” have been throwing such a temper tantrum over Trumpzilla’s domination in “conservative” primaries: he really does mean to be less of an Interventionist and even sees the coming crash/correction in the economy. “I watched as we built schools in Iraq and they’re blown up. We build another one, we get blown up. We rebuild it three times and yet we can’t build a school in Brooklyn. We have no money for education because we can’t build in our own country. At what point do you say, ‘Hey, we have to take care of ourselves?’ So, I know the outer world exists and I’ll be very cognizant of that. But at the same time, our country is disintegrating, large sections of it, especially the inner cities.”

Apple To FBI: “The Answer Is Still, No” – At the annual Spring unveiling of its new product line, Apple CEO Tim Cook reiterates that the computing giant will not co-operate with the FBI in hacking their own products iOS to make it possible for the Feds to gain access whenever they wish. Cook actually stated that if anything Apple is trying to make their line of “iDevices” even MORE resistant to hackers, including rapacious G-Men.

If We’re Not Bombing Brown People We’re Not Serious About Foreign Policy! – Thus comes the collective howl heard ’round the NeoCon world fater Trumpzilla’s conversation with the WaPo yesterday. This piece is a good example of the gist of the reaction: no bombs and planes and planes dropping bombs and destroyers and drones- dropping ordinance on the third world is not a serious “foreign policy”, blah, blah blah.

The Imaginative Conservative Mind of Russell Kirk by Today’s Guest: Bradley Birzer – Allen Mendenhall, a [r]epublican if there ever was one, reviews today’s special guest Bradley Birzer’s biography of the late Russell Kirk. Mendenhall: “A plump, bespectacled gentleman who feigned disdain for technology, Kirk was something of a spiritualist with a penchant for the weird. He considered himself a Stoic before he had converted to Catholicism, a regeneration that makes sense in light of the relation of Stoic to Pauline thought.”

The Conservative Crackup, Brought To you By Donald Trump – Ross Douthat seems to be surprised that, the hapless Speaker of the House of Representin’, Paul Ryan, doesn’t have an answer to Trumpzilla other than “cut taxes, cut spending and promote ‘free markets’ “. What Douthat doesn’t tap into is the fact that Ryan is just another uninspired and poorly catechized Catholic. The “answer” to Trump is to apologize for the blatant heresies we live among the least of which is the Federal monstrosity’s Usury and redistribution of stolen wealth.

From Six Feet Under To The Walking Dead, Dead Ain’t Dead Anymore – This is an interesting point: our fallen and heresy infested culture has now begun the final ploy for Beazelbub: make death and the dead irrelevant. While the Brits are busy pioneering ways to liquefy human bodies so they don’t have to be buried ‘Muricans are becoming infatuated with zombie culture.

Democracy IS The Problem, NOT The Solution – Here is yet another plea for the intelligent among us to “return to the good sense of the Founders” to right the listing ship U.S.A..  But what is missing here is the admission that the Founders actually charted this course and broke the champagne bottle over its bough with great fanfare. The fact is, and we have contended: If you put multiple peoples in charge of distributing money and favors after they have defined the favors and compelled submission to them you will get corruption and that corruption will spread like the virus it is.

Trump’s Popularity Is ‘Muricah’s “Hail Mary” Pass – The masses trudging off to polling places to “vote”, the yard signs, the bumper stickers, the throngs of humanity turning out for campaign events, the media infatuation are all signs of a population that has reached the conclusion that ‘Muricah must be saved; that this rescue requires desperate measures; and that these measures might just spare us all from the lives we must not consider leading. You know, the lives that require us to govern our HOMES FIRST, get them in the best Order possible, THEN you can meander into the streets and ASK if your neighbor needs your assistance, Lives.

Patrick J Buchanan Reaches The Same Conclusion – Buchanan reaches the same conclusion I reach above but holds out the possibility that Trump’s prospective election might actually save ‘Muricah by charting a different course. I agree with Buchanan that Trump will wail on Hillary all the way to the White House.

Radio: Eat Your Young & Destroy Your Future. Yep, We Got That Covered – Last week I mused in this space:

Its an impressive business model that makes hundreds of millions for an elite few while decimating local radio and nearly killing, in the cradle, future talents. (if Dana Loesch is the future, the industry and your intelligence are doomed)….”

Now comes the story of Lisa G, a former SiriusXM employee who quit the company thinking she could parlay her Howard Stern earned credentials into a high profile gig in “Radio” somewhere else… fat chance. Read the whole store for an inside look at an industry that is no longer an industry that tales its future seriously, trading the pursuit of stockholder satisfaction for the future of the craft. SAD.

Bombing Pacific Islanders Back To The Stone Ages – Most ‘Muricans would rather not be bothered by the knowledge that in 1954, the United States, in it’s zeal to “beat the Russians” in the race to kill via nuclear weapons, detonated a 50 kiloton Hydrogen bomb on the Bikini Atoll, part of the Marshall Islands. Forgotten is the poisoning and fallout sickness of those living near the Bikini atoll because they aren’t ‘Muricans. “We had to do it for national defense, Mitter Church!” When the destruction of human lives comes as a result of one nation’s hubris and at the expense of another’s, how does the bombing nation proclaim itself “right”!?

Alabama Surrenders To The Cult of Death, Abolishes Marriage To Save It – When Rep Andy Holt appeared on the Mike Church Show and I asked him if abolishing Marriage Licenses was one solution to thwarting the Cult of Death’s march to a Society of Sodomy, Holt demurred and said “No, I will not abandon the principled Truth that marriage is anything but a union of one man, one woman.” In pondering his response, I realized that Holt was/is correct, you cannot vanquish the evil that is the Cult of Death by eliminating battlefields which Alabama is in the process of doing. Right is backed by the Truth and Error by the False, the Truth says that it is mortally sinful for the state to issue sanctions in favor of mortal sin.

Let My People Shower Together!! – A pair of Massachusetts teachers unions have endorsed legislation that would allow adult males to shower alongside young girls in the ongoing effort to eliminate the distinction between Men and Women. How long before it actually becomes ILLEGAL to declare that your child is either Male or Female at birth for “fear” that “arbitrarily choosing a person’s gender identity is unfair to their evolution as a free person”. While I just made that quote up, mark my words, it won’t be long before it actually becomes a legislative effort….oh wait, it already HAS after the fact and there is agitation to eliminate gender entirely from birth certificates (TRUE story)!

What Is An Orthodox Catholic/Christian To Do, What Other Moral Teachings Should The State Bail On? – 5 years ago, Church apostates sounded the surrender alarm, if these clowns are teaching catechism, call the Scottish real estate agents and lets find a plot to buy on Papa Sonstray Island.

The End of ‘Murican Government? What If It Never Existed!? – The question of what is sovereignty is one that will not roll off the tongue of 90% of our fellow citizens and will not even enter the barren intellects of 99% of our elected class. That does not mean that the matter is irrelevant nor does it mean that concluding the matter correctly is impossible. Alexander Salter tries to answer the question of what is sovereignty and how the ‘Murican Government treated of it. Salter correctly concludes that the Constitution could not possibly have established a national sovereignty because the entity could not have been made to be sovereign. John Taylor of Caroline, aptly and with finality demolished the concept of the Constitution granting a sovereignty to ‘Muricah. “The word America is used to designate the quarter of the globe in which the recited states were established, and not to designate a nation of Americans. A league or union of the kingdoms of Europe for limited objects, distinctly reciting the name of each kingdom, would not have created a consolidated nation of Europeans. Suppose in such a union, the phrase, “We, the people of the united kingdoms of Europe,” had been used, would it have destroyed the several sovereignties uniting for special purposes, and have consolidated them into one kingdom?
