President Trump Agrees With Saint Thomas Aquinas On Immigration – The firestorm over President Trump’s remark to Senator Dic Durbin that we have too many immigrants from “sh*thole” countries and not enough “from Norway” has triggered the requisite media meltdowns but no one has asked the ultimate question: why should any country of sovereign, culturally linked people, have to surrender those two qualities via immigration? Pat Buchanan asks the question and offers a ‘Muricah first explanation, but if we want a philosophically sound answer that just happens to be Christian as well, let’s consult St Thomas Aquinas.

President Trump Agrees With Saint Thomas Aquinas On Immigration II – In his Summa Theologica, Question 105 of the First Part, St Thomas answers the question about immigrating foreigners into Jewish cities. St Thomas’ answer is basically the same answer and theory that James Madison used against the Alien part of the Alien and Sedition acts.

“I answer that, Man’s relations with foreigners are twofold: peaceful, and hostile: and in directing both kinds of relation the Law contained suitable precepts.” [emphasis mine-MC]

Defying God’s Love For Chastity Before Marriage, There’s An App For That – There is nothing LESS natural than an app called “Natural Cycles” that purports to help fornicating women chart their fertility and thus know when going all Sex And The City is “safe”. Problem is, the app has a failure rate and some users are, wait for it, becoming pregnant! Note the wording of the app maker’s response to this “crisis”.

“In a statement to SVT, Natural Cycles said: “No contraception is 100 per cent and unwanted pregnancies is an unfortunate risk with any contraception.” [Emphasis mine]

The statement should read there is an “unfortunate risk with any fornication” because its not the app’s fault, it’s the fornicator’s fault. The very idea that an “app” gives license to willy nilly hedonism is as sad a sign of our wretched times than anything else.

So the Trump foreign policy has gone from ‘;Murica first to ‘Muricah first in the rest of the planet’s affairs. But don’t worry, you won’t have to pay for it, thanks to the recently passed tax bill, your kids and mine will. Who will be around then to “make ‘Murica great again”?

The Truth Will Set You Free But You’d Have To Hear It To Know That – If you have tried to get your friends and family members to listen to reason on the crumbling state of our culture and have been met with 70 foot tall, iron and mortar walls as a defense, you are not alone. But before you start doing the wave around the break room table understand that the $4.5 TRILLION headed hydra that is the federal beast is set to expand under Trump and the MIC’s growth is frightening.

FINALLY! Setting his sights on the resident doyenne’s of approved Catholic intellectual thinking, The NY Time’s Ross Douthat and the editor of First Things RR Reno, Vermeule says what is crying to be said and then defended. If you live in ‘Muricah, in 2017, count your allies carefully and know that they are in a precarious minority that is at war with a diabolical majority that rejects living a Catholic life, in accordance with ‘Murican law and diabolical custom, as a non sequitir.

“It would also be foolish to trust that those forces will not again be in the ascendancy, with the capacity to bring decisive force to bear. The Trump administration, crippled by moral compromises, almost certainly amounts to merely a temporary respite. Douthat betrays a misunderstanding of political science when he puts his trust in the law and the judiciary in general and Kennedy in particular. Sooner or later, and probably sooner, political control over judicial appointments means that judicial views will inevitably be brought into conformity with the views of the wider society, which in the America of 2018 are increasingly dismissive of central tenets of Catholic doctrine.”

Now we are beginning to see the full effects of the sun going more quiet with each passing year and each passing cycle of 12-15 years and the evidence for this to be a trend and not a Roland Emmerich movie catastrophe is real and growing as fast as the record low temps being set all across ‘Muricah. What’s truly remarkable about this saga is that Bannon has made a real-world, living example of what Matthew Sheffield accurately called The Conservative Echo Chamber.  Sheffield:

“It is poetic justice that many of the same people who pushed these naive positions and strategies saw their own imbecilic noise machine turned against their preferred presidential candidate, Ted Cruz, in this [2016’s] Republican primaries. The seeming success of Fox News and talk radio has made many conservatives think they now have a massive media empire. In truth, they have constructed an intellectual ghetto that no one else wants to visit.” [emphasis mine – MC]

The U.S. Constitution Now REQUIRES Abortion & Contraception – When Judge Wendy Beetlestone made her ruling (in cahoots with Pennsylvania’s AG) last week against the Little Sisters of The Poor & The Trump Administration, she basically stated that because ObamaCare is “the law of the land” and because that law provided that the Federal Leviathan can require employers to provide “women’s reproductive care”, thus the U.S. Constitution now requires abortion and contraception. Margot Cleeland reports on the diabolical ruling:

“[I]n her 44-page opinion, Beetlestone concluded the Trump administration lacked the authority under the ACA to exempt employers from its birth control, abortifacient, and sterilization mandate. She also held the mandate did not substantially burden religious objectors’ rights and, in turn, did not violate the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.”

Well, if the Trump Adminsitration doesn’t have executive prerogative to enforce the ACA, then who does, Judge Bettlejuice? The Bureau of Land Management? Planned Parenthood? And if this heinous, what I call “insure to kill order” doesn’t violate religious consciouses, then what in Margaret Sanger’s name will!? More reason folks, that the separation of us from This State must happen. The Feds AND some States are basically saying that baby-killing is now part of the Constitutional “order”. That is a legislative bridge too far, isn’t it?

DeceptiCON Central To Me: You’re Right Mitter Chur, There Will Be Revival of “Conservatism” Until The Catholic Church Revives – In a shocking essay splashed across the National Review’s website, Paul Ingrassia revives WFB’s criticism of the Catholic revolt against tradition that began 50 years ago and ties it to the general decline of the West. Ingrassia even makes the CRUSADE Channel/Mike Church Show’s point that political jockeying and “progress” cannot solve the decaying Western culture that is crying out for The Church to save her. Peter Kwasniewski (author of Noble Beauty), take a bow:

“Although Christians should know that God’s plan will ultimately prevail, the pitiful state of the West can be assuaged only when we begin to believe again that the Church is the sole source of divine truth. Real progress as traditionally understood can be achieved only through the reorientation of mankind to those fundamental tenets, as it was eloquently argued 16 centuries ago by Augustine in The City of God, and as it remains today, when the greatest gift to mankind, revealed per ipsum et cum ipso et in ipso, is still readily applicable, and perhaps of greater importance than ever before.”

Ingrassia even takes on the materialism obsession of his colleagues at the National Review (although not by name) as the saving paradigm it clearly is not. When the NR starts publishing features that actively, as opposed to metaphoric, identify a robust and dominant Catholicism as the antidote to ‘Muricah and the West’s ills, an event horizon for the future is at hand.

Second Noble Beauty is the best defense of the Catholic Latin liturgy and its restorative powers in recent memory.
