The Memorial Kickoff of Obama/Biden 2012 in Tucson, AZ

2011 Mike Church

Hi folks its Mike Church with todays Church Doctrine

Its hard to imagine what the thought process must have been that led to Wednesday nights Memorial Service turned pep rally for the Obama /Biden 2012 campaign. This was supposed to have been a solemn and somber service for the 6 victims of the Tuscon Massacre but youd never know that to watch the event.

Governor Jan Brewer led off the speakers and was mildly booed by some in attendance as though she were the visiting team. Department of Homeland Security secretary and former AZ governor Janet Napolitano was cheered so loudly that it sounded as though the home teams star forward had just stepped on the court. There were whistles and stomping feet, woot woots could be heard as well. Then Napolitano read from Isaiah which managed to coax a few polite golf claps from the section seated nearest the Obama administration royalty.

Then it was on to what the fans had come to see, star center and leading scorer President Obama. The Sports like cheers were so loud and drawn out it must have taken all the PA announcers will power to not mix in Queens We will rock you. Did Obama rock the Memorial? I dont know because I tuned out before he came on, there was and actual game on ESPN I wanted to watch.
