Undoing The Damage Of A Date Which Lives In Infamy
2011 Mike Church
Hey folks, its Mike Church with today’s Church Doctrine.
If you have ever wondered just how we became servants to the largest government in the history of large governments a study of the 2008 meltdown and its aftermath yields significant answers. When the Federal Reserve created bubble exploded in August of that year the body that gave the Fed life, the Congress, reacted by offering to bailout the companies in danger of going under with the creation of TARP.
No sooner had the ink dried on that trillion dollar wealth transfer then we had Barney Frank and Chris Dodd begin cooking up their proposal to prevent this from ever happening again. That Dodd and Frank were complicit in the Meltdown seemed to bother no one in Washington so they were benighted to carry on their mischief. The result is a 2,300 page monstrosity called Dodd-Frank which will bring about the transfer of TRILLIONS of remaining wealth held by the individuals who earned it. This is nice work if you can find it.
The real story here is how this crisis has helped expand the reach of the powerful forces that created the mess to start with. Because of Dodd-Frank, a new agency must now be created to assist in stopping the next meltdown. The CFPB or Consumer Financial Protection Bureau purports to serve as a guardian for consumers against the menace that is the banks. And while the big banks are certainly menacing, thanks to prior actions of Dodd & Frank, this bill does nothing to arrest the threat, it compounds it. By giving the agency the power to tax through the creation of rules that will cause fees to rise which will then be passed on to the sheople the old Tea Party adage of no taxation without representation has been eviscerated.
Now the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party is next Friday and I wonder if there are new things, 2300 of them, that could defiantly tossed in the harbor there to begin the process of declaring Independence, all over again.
