Mike:  Before we go to the telephones, will you play Jeb Bush?  I want people to hear this in its entirety.

[start audio file]

Russell Moore: Given the atrocity of these children being destroyed with such callous disregard for their lives, shouldn’t we make that an issue and say not one more red cent to Planned Parenthood?

Jeb Bush: We should. And the next president should defund Planned Parenthood. [Applause] I have the benefit of having been governor and we did defund Planned Parenthood when I was governor. We tried to create a culture of life across the board. The argument against this is: Well, women’s health issues are going to be – you’re attacking – it’s a war on women and you’re attacking women’s health issues. You can take, dollar for dollar, although I’m not sure we need half a billion dollars for

women’s health issues, but if you took dollar-for-dollar, there are many extraordinarily fine organizations, community health organizations that exist, federally-sponsored community health organizations to provide quality care for women on a wide variety of health issues. Abortion should not be funded by the government.

Mike:  This then caused Mrs. Clinton to lose it.  The shrill Hillary, the agent and merchant of death, the chief allegedly-feminine spokesman for the culture of death then took to the dais to inform Jeb Bush: Well he may think a half a billion….  What he meant to say was the government’s appropriating half a billion dollars towards Planned Parenthood for women’s health, that that was a stretch.  That’s what he meant to say.  If you just listen to it, I understood that.  I haven’t read any of the narrative about it.  I got that from just listening to that.  Apparently Mrs. Clinton didn’t get it.  Here is the agent and merchant chief spokesman for the sick, perverted, demonic culture of death:

[start audio file]

Hillary Clinton: Today we got another window into what Republican candidates really believe. Jeb Bush said he’s not sure we need half a billion dollars for women’s health issues. I’m reading it because I want to quote it exactly. He’s got no problem giving billions of dollars away to the super wealthy and powerful corporations, but I guess women’s health just isn’t a priority for him. I would like to ask him: Governor Bush, try telling that to the mom who caught her breast cancer early because she was able to get screening in time. Was her health not worth the money? Tell it to the teenager who avoided an unintended pregnancy because she had access to contraception. Tell it to everyone who was protected by an HIV test. I’m really tired of the double speak. I’m tired of women being shamed and blamed and dismissed.

Mike:  Folks, I don’t even know where to being with what you just heard.  I don’t even know where to begin with it.  Let’s start here.  First of all, let’s not equivocate.  Jeb Bush was asked a question about Planned Parenthood, Mrs. Clinton.  That’s what the question was asked about.  That was the subject.  Remember back in grammar school, subject and predicate.  The subject was Planned Parenthood.  It’s the proper noun in the statement, madam.  His response was based upon the question that was asked of him about Planned Parenthood.  From that we get: What about the woman who went to the mammogram?  Let’s keep it in the realm or the discussion upon the subject, a major premise in logic, of Planned Parenthood.  She said: Tell that to the woman who went and got her breast cancer screening that was prevented from having breast cancer.  Let me inform Mrs. Clinton and anyone who thinks like her, Planned Parenthood does not perform mammography.

I read you this story two days ago from The Federalist, “Guess How Many Licensed Mammogram Facilities Planned Parenthood Runs.”  You know what the answer is, don’t you, ladies and gentleman?  Zero point zero.  None, they don’t run any.  As Sean Davis explains:

[reading]

There’s only one problem [Mike: with this statement – we could just say with Mrs. Clinton’s statement – and that is that] Planned Parenthood does not manage a single licensed mammography facility in the U. S. Not one. Of the 8,735 licensed mammography facilities in America, Planned Parenthood operates exactly zero.

How do we know this? Because the U.S. Food and Drug Administration keeps a list of . . . it updates this list weekly . . . more than 8,700 . . . not one is operated by Planned Parenthood.

[end reading]

Mike:  No woman was spared the horrors of breast cancer because she got a mammogram at a Planned Parenthood clinic.  That’s an outright lie.  He was also asked the question about mutilated fetuses, about mutilated babies.  Shouldn’t we defund Planned Parenthood?  He was specifically alluding to and he was talking about the murder of the soon-to-be-among-us.  That’s what he was talking about.  He wasn’t asked a question about AIDS tests.  He wasn’t asked a question about sexually-transmitted diseases.  He wasn’t asked a question about any other subject matter or the topics that she launched into. Let’s pretend for a moment.  I’ll play Hillary’s game.  Let’s pretend for a moment that we should feel such grave compassion for the argument that if we don’t have the funding for Planned Parenthood, these girls can’t go in there and have their babies taken, their babies ripped from their wombs and then sold for parts.  Or if they can’t be provided contraception in an appropriate and timely fashion, then an unintended pregnancy – we won’t be able to avoid unintended pregnancies.

Last hour we talked about arguments, about controversy.  I’ll give you one.  Sorry, but you are a product of nature.  You are going to have unintended pregnancies.  Deal with it like an adult.  Put your big girl panties on and deal with it.  Gentlemen, you’re going to have to deal with unintended pregnancies.  Put your boxer shorts on and be a man for a change and deal with it.  That doesn’t mean traipse off to a clinic and kill it.  This is the suppression of the natural order, that’s all this is.  We should start a controversy over this.  There is an absolutely wonderful essay written about this very thing posted at the Crisis Magazine website today, “Liberal Christians try to Nuance Abortion.”
