Mike:  “Theft of US weapons in Libya involve hundreds of guns, sources say,” a story on Fox News by Adam Housley.  Bret Baier actually did the video portion of this.  The vehicles that were hijacked and stolen by our new Al-Qaeda in Libya buddies, our rebel buddies that we helped kill Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, this is what they’ve done.

U.S. Special Forces undergo significant training to operate these vehicles. Fox News is told the vehicles provided to the Libyans are now gone.

The training team, which was funded by the Pentagon, has since been pulled, partly in response to the overnight raids last August.

Mike:  What were the vehicles doing there to start with?  I thought there was no military presence in Libya.  Remember, no boots on the ground, the president said.  He never violated the will or wishes of Congress.  What was Mrs. Clinton’s role in all this?  Those of you that are looking for smoking guns in Libya and just looking at what happened with Ambassador Stevens, I understand your frustration and concern about the loss of an ambassador.  The foreign policy was the original sin that was committed with the president unilaterally deciding to use military force without congressional authorization, without a national interest.  Libya was not a threat to the United States.  It was Obama’s decision to do it.  He was backed up by Mrs. Clinton.

You can make an issue out of Benghazi, fine.  I think the bigger issue is the original sin of the military intervention that was not a military intervention.  What did Mrs. Clinton know and when did she know it?  If she authorized this, if the Secretary of Defense at the time authorized this, they ought to be impeached.  If you’re not there any longer, then you go after them and subpoena them.  You could conceivably bring proceedings against them.  Of course, you can’t impeach them and kick them out of office because they’re already gone.

Along with the GMV’s, hundreds of weapons are now missing, including roughly 100 Glock pistols and more than 100 M4 rifles. More disturbing, according to the sources, is that it seems almost every set of night-vision goggles has also been taken. This is advanced technology that gives very few war fighters an advantage on the battlefield. [Mike: That’s just great.]

“It’s not just equipment … it’s the capability. You are giving these very dangerous groups the capability that only a few nations are capable of,” one source said. “Already assassinations are picking up in Tripoli and there are major worries that the militias are using this stolen equipment to their advantage. All these militias are tied into terrorist organizations.”

Mike:  And we have just aided them again.  We’re doing this in Syria as well.  For those of you that are scratching your head, as am I, and wondering why we are waging this decades-long “war on terror,” and at the same time are airlifting and dropping our weapons and vehicles into the hands of the same people we allegedly have this war against, is anyone keeping score?  None of this makes any sense, unless, of course, it is your desire to see the conflicts continue.  Is there incompetence here or is there a financial motive?  I’d say there’s a little bit of both but more of the latter.  Who manufactures those vehicles?  They’re going to have to be replaced now, aren’t they?  Gee, I wonder whose districts those vehicles were made in.  Those Glock pistols or the ammunition for them, those rifles I mentioned, who manufactures those?

The “salafists” are a jihadist movement among Salafi Muslims. This growing movement in Libya directly endangers the U.S.-supported government, and sources worry that this sensitive equipment is now going to be used by these groups in an attempt to overthrow the government and install a more hardline Muslim leadership.

Mike:  Gee, none of this would have happened if we had just minded our own business and not helped assassinate Muammar Gaddafi, and don’t tell me that we didn’t because we did.

Some diplomats, who asked to remain anonymous, say they are seeing the kinds of conditions that opened the door to the Sept. 11 Benghazi attack now appearing in Tripoli and across the rest of Libya.

Mike:  We’re doing it again.  What is the purpose of our foreign policy and our foreign entanglements and our foreign meddling in Libya?  What interest is there for us?  The Brits may have an interest there, as I understand it, because British Petroleum explores for oil there.  What is our interest there?  If the Brits have to have that or have to have our assistance in that, why don’t they just come out and ask for it?  Are you noticing a trend in geopolitical discussions here, folks?  If people knew who the Keystone Cops were, I’d say the Keystone Cops, but that’s not applicable because it’s 100 years old, in the seemingly never-ending chain of events that is orchestrated by and executed by a feckless and inept, I’d say incompetent, set of government agencies and government-sponsored contractors and all those that are employed or deployed in this endeavor.

The sad part about it, the really tragic part is you and I are working to subsidize all this.  Some of your sons, some of your daughters, their lives will be sacrificed — I do mean sacrificed.  That is not their intent; that is the intent of those that sent them there.  It seems as though those that orchestrated this can’t get enough of it.  Now they want us to do it in Syria.  When Syria is done, they’ll want us to do it in Iran and then every other hell forsaken place on Earth.  Instead of minding our own business, if there is truly an interest there, then designate what it is, let Congress fully debate it in full public view, and then deal with that.  [mocking] “We must be a leader in the region.”  A leader in the region that arms the bad guys through either intent or incompetence, maybe even malfeasance?  What is going on here?

When will the American sheeple have had enough and say: Bring our stuff home.  Not just the troops, bring our stuff home, all of it.  Of course, then you get into: That’s a really expensive thing.  What will they do then?  You and I will have been taxed.  Our children and grandchildren will have been indebted to make all this stuff.  They’re going to say: That’s not feasible, so let’s just scuttle it.  That’s brilliant.  You guys spent hundreds of billions of dollars in hardware that you’re now telling us you want to turn into scrap metal in the middle of some Middle Eastern desert?  Gee, what a great use of our resources.  But government spending for government jobs.

You people over here domestically, those of you that are big internationalists and nationalists and American exceptionalist promoters, you love to lecture the rest of us of the ineptitude or of the folly of employing government workers to dig a hole on one side of the street and haul the dirt to the other side, then to dig a hole on that side and haul the dirt back over and fill the hole in on the other side, rinse and repeat.  Government make-work.  What are you doing when you’re making weapons of mass destruction, which these are, shipping them over to the Middle East and then saying: We can’t allow them to fall into enemy hands so we have to destroy them.  Even from a pragmatic point of view, it doesn’t make any sense.  It certainly doesn’t make any economic sense.  So we’re going to employ people with tax dollars stolen from its legitimate owners in the United States to make these munitions and basically, when they’re constructed, find someplace to dump them and melt them down for scrap that we’ll leave there.

Wouldn’t it just be better if we took all the money they’re going to use for this, just put it on pallets and airlift it and drop it in the middle of the desert and let Al-Qaeda or the salafists and our new rebel buddies in Syria, let them go and buy the weapons on the open market?  At least we’d be introducing some free market element into our suicidal foreign policy tendencies, wouldn’t we?  You should join me in saying: Good freaking grief!
