Shame: If You Want To See Humble Foreign Policy, Watch Russian TV

Mandeville, LA – I tuned in to Fox News today and mourned that I heard Charles Krauthammer and Mark Steyn et al claim that with der Trumpissar’s Tomahawk missile tirade “America is back!” I am surrounded by an irrational populace that makes noble the most despicable deeds because American exceptionalism says they are star spangled awesome. While Krauthammer and the Talk Radio Mafia are busy playing Stratego with der Trumpissar, the Russian’s look like the positively rational good guys. Watch this clip from Russia 1 TV featuring Russian Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova tell the world what American media, save for The CRUSADE Channel will not say: Our military bellicosity requires increasing numbers of human victims.

Meanwhile some of the surviving Christians in Syria relay outrage at a similar truth. From the National Catholic Register:

Syriac Catholic Patriarch Ignace Joseph Younan called the attack an aggression and told Catholic News Service: “It is a shame that the United States administration didn’t wait until an honest United Nations investigation was thoroughly made into what is said to be a chemical air strike in Khan Shaykun.”

“The agglomerate media and the supremacist policy of the USA just want the killing and destroying conflict in Syria to continue, and this primarily to kill whatever attempt to resolve the bloody crisis,”

Note that our fellow ‘Murican citizens and unfortunately most Catholics are cheering this blatantly illegal and unjust action during Holy Week which is a direct reflection of the paucity of Catholic catechism these days especially that catechism that comes from the pulpit. Lex orandi, Lex credende, how we pray is how we believe, and there is a jingoistic militarism that has infected the praying and thinking of the faithful. Without the Church to preside over the moral affairs of men, what internal force, created by Man, can regulate our moral affairs and thus humiliate our international relations and those responsible for planning them? When Donald Trump and Nikki Hayley get busy serving up heaping helpings of Raytheon’s war machines, where are the questions of necessity from Bishops? Of WHAT national American interest is being protected might a Priest ask!? Was there no other way to attain it, demands the Cardinal? The warhawks have made even this question a heresy to the religion that American Exceptionalism has become elbowing out the Church. USA! USA! has replaced “love thy neighbor as I have loved you”, a commandment of Our Lord that his Church now enforces with phony “love” for refugees who seek no Solidarity with their hosts but provide the USCCB fat endowments from the State.

Those shamelessly boasting of our military abuses could never do so in a [r]epublic that had the order of affairs correct and used as a primary guide, the Church and her defense of natural law. Orestes Brownson made this point during the bloodiest parts of the War of Northern Aggression:

“No doubt, as the authority of the church is derived immediately from God in a supernatural manner, and as she holds that the state derives its authority only mediately from him, in a natural mode, she asserts the superiority of her authority, and that, in case of conflict between the two powers, the civil must yield. But this is only saying that supernatural is above natural. But — and this is the important point — she does not teach, nor permit the faithful to hold, that the supernatural abrogates the natural, or in any way supersedes it. Grace, say the theologians, supposes nature, gratia supponit naturam. The church in the matter of government accepts the natural, aids it, elevates it, and is its firmest support.”

When Rocky IV became an anachronism after the Soviet Union’s fall, who would have ever believed that Russia would attempt to lead her people back to Christ and be the rational defenders of Christians in the Middle-East while ‘Muricah Christianity’s gravest threat? No amount of USA! USA! chanting can undo that but hearing “Ave Maria gratia plena, AVE!!” with the same intensity, might.
