THE ONLY THING REMOTELY “CONSERVATIVE” AT CPAC WAS TRUMP

by: Mike Church

Let’s be blunt and act like adults for a change by stating what ought to be obvious in 2021: If “Conservatism” doesn’t defend Sacred Tradition and God’s rights when the secular & divine law collide then its not a “conservatism” worth practicing and certainly shouldn’t be promoted and defended.

If the above is true and any self-respecting traditionalist should agree that it is, then we must insist that the for profit, deep but not too deep-state pimps at CPAC cease using the term “conservative” as the operative word for their annual soiree celebrating all things of not-so-menacing government .

From the opening bell when the crowd of well-intentioned laity were informed (via endorsement of the Bill of Rights) that the CPAC “freedom” agenda included a mask mandate, an assault on common sense, actual science and human dignity. To Ted Cruz’s awful impersonation of Mel Gibson’s William Wallace character from Braveheart, bellowing “FREEDOM”! CPAC was all bark and no bite; and let’s be candid, it’s ALWAYS all bark and no bite.

The speakers from Donald Trump Jr, Governor Scott Walker & Reps. Chaffetz and Gaetz served up a litany of platitudes against “socialism” that could have come from the mouths of Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey in 1993 or John Boehner and Paul Ryan in 2009. That “conservatives” can manage the Welfare, 9-11 & now Covid States better than (sic) Demoncrats & Regime Leaders Biden/Harris can.

Recall, pace Patrick Henry’s “Caesar had his Brutus, Charles the First his Cromwell…” speech, “Gingrich had his Medicare Part D, Boehner & Ryan Their TARP and Gaetz & Chaffetz their ‘Rona bailouts 1 and 2”. If this be “conservatism” it takes very little imagination to see what “socialism” looks like, it’s “conservatism” with an extra “zero” or six on the 3 foot tall, 140 pound, Omnibus reconciliation bills. These annual, perfunctory speeches and events are nothing more than the place settings for an event that is basically a job fair for “conservative” people in and around government as if changing the guillotine blade to a plated nickel blade from a plated steel one makes the device less deadly.

But the most distressing yet annual disappointment at CPAC is not the character of men and content of speeches given there, rather its the dearth of who and what is never said there: who are traditional Christians/Catholics in person as such and what is the usurious, moral crisis nearly every member of our political elites and by extension their constituents, are possessed of. Why don’t “Conservative” state legislatures and governors that are ok with spending trillions of dollars in federal “mandates” (like Title IX, education & “transportation” funding) every year that make the connection to the Mount Everest sized $230 Trillion of unfunded debt liabilities they are backed by? Why are they ok with what amounts to generational usury i.e. making tax and wage slaves of their children and grandchildren? This is the most diabolical form of usury because the children and grandchildren have no hand in making the debt and now the interest that must be paid on it; and both debt and interest on the debt are usury yet every legislature has with smiling faced “conservative” members that pose for photo-ops with giant cardboard checks.

CPAC trivia: Has there ever been a CPAC speaker who railed against the “conservative” government mandates that create the usurious trillions now lining the beaches of the Hamptons and Lake Reno?

Answer: No, since Tucker Carlson is the only “conservative” I’ve ever even heard use the term “usury” correctly in a sentence and to my knowledge he’s not been invited to CPAC to talk about it. But there’s an even bigger glaring omission from “conservative” CPAC. Who will speak of the “conservative” ruling class’s refusal to denounce the anti-human, God denying, despotism that now pervades nearly all cultural & political dialogue and action. G.K. Chesterton wrote of despotism…

“If there is one fact we really can prove, from the history that we really do know, it is that despotism can be a development… and very often indeed the end of societies that have been highly democratic. A despotism may almost be defined as a tired democracy.”

Indeed conservatism has become Chesterton’s “tired democracy” when it cannot raise its head to the point of separation i.e. divorce from the debt hydra they helped create. I should point out that this despotism was truthfully articulated by that scion of moral turpitude, Rep. Gerald Nadler in response to Rep Steube’s Christian opposition to the ill-named Equality Act, to wit

Mr. Steube. “Mr. Speaker, I am going to read that line again. `Whenever a nation’s laws no longer reflect the standards of God, that nation is in rebellion against him and will inevitably bear the consequences.’”

Mr. NADLER. “Mr. Steube, what any religious tradition ascribes as God’s will is no concern of this Congress.”

This exchanged occurred Thursday, yet there was not a peep from a single “conservative” about it and these people kinda cheered whenever President Trump promised to preserve “one nation under God” which he did again on Sunday, a very rare, “conservative” moment for the event.

I wish Trump or anyone in “conservative” leadership would make Christian-philosophy (St Thomas & Aristotle) the formation for their political minds and thus speak and act with the authority of the Psalmist.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord: the people whom he hath chosen for his inheritance.”

Mike Church Biography – “Too Catholic For Satellite Radio”

In May of 2015, Chris Ferrara wrote a bio pic essay on a talk-radio host who was then completely unknown to Catholic, talk-radio fans.

The Mike Church Interview: A Remarkable Conversion to Tradition Changes the Face of Political Talk Radio Featured

Chris wrote of me back then, words that were too kind but serve as a basis for this biography.

Indeed, over the past year or so Mike Church has emerged as the only traditionally Catholic conservative in talk radio today, anywhere in the world. And I mean traditional. Not only during my appearances on the show, but now thematically, Mike has turned the longest running political talk show on Sirius Radio into an unabashed presentation of the Social Kingship of Christ, traditional Catholic moral teaching, and even the traditional Latin liturgy as the solution to what is evidently otherwise a terminal civilizational crisis. I have been invited on the show numerous times to defend all of these things explicitly, to speak of the one true Church, and even to call upon conservative Protestants to enter the Church if they are serious about saving our nation and our civilization.

From there, on October 26, 2015, my 13 year run on Sirius Satellite Radio came to a close when my contract was not renewed. Chris would follow the above bio with an updated one titled, The Mike Church Show – Too Catholic For Satellite Radio.

MIKE CHURCH BIOGRAPHY FACTS
  • Born, February 2nd, New Orleans
  • Begun talk-radio in 1992, WSLA, Slidell LA, I have been off air a total of 7 months since.
  • Launched the Sirius Satellite Radio service as its FIRST – LIVE talk-show on 10 March, 2003.
  • Promoted to Morning Drive on the SiriusXM Patriot Channel, May 2009, the 3rd most listened to show on the platform
  • From July 2007 – present, founded Founding Father Films, wrote, produced, narrated and directed 9, full length audio features, two that made it to DVD!
  • Returned to the Roman Catholic Church’s Tridentine Mass and Tradition in 2013. Consecrated to Our Lady via de Montfort’s formula in December 2014.

I had been planning for SiriusXM to “whack me” since 2012 and had laid the structural groundwork for the next step in my career: launching the Veritas Radio Network and The CRUSADE Channel. On November 1st, 2015, in a video webcast for the press, I announced the VRN and that on November 15th, the Mike Church Show would be silent no more and would return to the air, this time on a platform custom built for LIVE talk radio. Smaller Government is Better! Avoid the Chastisement! It’s your hitchhiker’s guide to faux conservative news!
