Mike: I want to read to you from Thomas Jefferson’s inaugural address, just one paragraph. This has great bearing on the situation out there in Nevada, in Clark County, Nevada with rancher Cliven Bundy and the tyrants of the Bureau of Land Manglement executing the orders of a federal judge tyrant who is following up on the edicts issued by tyrants in the Clinton administration, which basically chooses allegedly endangered species over citizens. Then, not only does it choose allegedly endangered species over citizens, then it chooses any livelihood attached to what the endangered species is commandeering over citizens. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. It shouldn’t be this way. One paragraph from Jefferson’s inaugural address, 4 March 1801 — find this completely acted out and dramatized, if you are a Founders Pass member. Go to MikeChurch.com and click at the top of the page any of the Project ’76 links. You will find one that does have a full recitation of Jefferson’s inaugural address, and, of course, the written version as well. I’ll read you a paragraph that is pertinent.

Let us, then, with courage and confidence pursue our own Federal and Republican principles, our attachment to union and representative government. Kindly separated by nature and a wide ocean from the exterminating havoc of one quarter of the globe; too high-minded to endure the degradations of the others; possessing a chosen country, with room enough for our descendants to the thousandth and thousandth generation; entertaining a due sense of our equal right to the use of our own faculties, to the acquisitions of our own industry, to honor and confidence from our fellow-citizens, resulting not from birth, but from our actions and their sense of them; enlightened by a benign religion, professed, indeed, and practiced in various forms, yet all of them inculcating honesty, truth, temperance, gratitude, and the love of man; acknowledging and adoring an overruling Providence, which by all its dispensations proves that it delights in the happiness of man here and his greater happiness hereafter—with all these blessings, what more is necessary to make us a happy and a prosperous people? Still one thing more, fellow-citizens—a wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities.

Mike: How do you like that? What do you think Jefferson would think of this BLM land grab that goes back to the 1980s and 1993? What would he say about taking the bread out of the mouth that has earned it? How ironic, isn’t it, that Jefferson also left us what I think is the greatest paper trail of how we should treat territories acquired by the United States and what we should do with them after the fact. Remember, Jefferson told the citizens of where I am currently perched at right now, in the outskirts of New Orleans, Louisiana, he told my great, great, great, great grandparents, my ancestors: Look, you’re under no compulsion to join our silly little union. If you want to form your own union, you go right ahead. If you want to form your own little state or republic right there and incorporate, you go right ahead. We hope you join our union, but if you don’t, that’s fine, too. That’s cool, that’s cool. Chris in Oregon is next. Hello, Chris, how you doing?
Caller Chris: Good morning, Mike. I’m doing fine. You can call me CI Tim, that’s confidential informant Tim. Always in these problems, there’s a devil in the details or hiding in the woodwork.
Mike:Sure.
Caller Chris: What you want to find out about is the Sierra Club in Boise, Idaho, and don’t completely blame the BLM. The Sierra Club in Idaho, Boise, Idaho, controls the firefighters which fight, the BLM that fight our forest fires. If there aren’t any fires to fight, they’ll go out and start them so that the BLM got something to fight. They’re the hippies from the old ‘60s and then they get in fights with the government like over a turtle or anything. Their lawyers get paid $600 an hour to represent them. The root of this problem — and get this info to Mark Levin — is the Sierra Club in Boise, Idaho. When you find out about that, you’ll know where this is at.
Mike:So the Sierra Club are the ones out and all hot and bothered for the tortoise?
Caller Chris: These are professional students. It’s the tortoise. It’s the owl.
Mike: I know all about the Sierra Club. I’m familiar going back to my battles in the early 1990s over the Endangered Species Act. The Sierra Club used the Endangered Species Act for the California condor.
Caller Chris:Everything.
Mike: Yeah, all of it.
Caller Chris:That’s where the seat of all this lies. By the way, our former Governor Kempthorne, was Republican, but he was in their back pocket, or they were in his, so he takes our DOT money and builds a flight path down the Boise River for them instead of improving our roads. They come out to the truck stop and took the newspaper away, the trucker’s newspaper, because it explained that. They put a big sign in there that said: Don’t ever put that paper in here again. Get with Mark Levin and —
Mike: No, I’m not going to get with Mark Levin. That’s not going to happen, not because I wouldn’t welcome it, but you people that are listening know that that’s not going to happen, so why even theorize about it? However, I do appreciate the tip on the Sierra Club. What he leaves out of this, though, and what no one ever covers when you mention: It’s the environmentalists; it’s the Sierra Club. Okay, fine. How? Explain it to me. Then you just get, [mocking] “Well, they’re socialists. They’re Nazis. They’re communists.” They may be, but that’s not how and why they do it. To understand how and why they do and how they’ve acquired the power then is to understand what is really going on here. I’ve explained this before and it doesn’t take very long to explain.
Basically this is a result of the current monstrosity we have that is known as the tax code. The Sierra Club and other “non-profits” like them will be able to solicit the support of wealthy donors who can donate to the Sierra Club to help protect the turtles. They’re not helping to protect the turtle. What they’re doing is employing their buddies without having to pay the proper taxes that everyone else has to pay on the donated money. That’s what they’re doing. That’s why you become a non-profit, in most instances. Take advantage of how the tax code is written so that work that isn’t actually work becomes quasi-government work and becomes non-profit work. It’s all perfectly legal under the tax code. Why do you think it was such a big hoop-de-doo deal for Lois Lerner, the former head of the IRS, to be turning those applications down to grant some of those entities non-profit status? Why would you want to be a non-profit? Why would you say: I suck at doing commerce so I’m going non-profit? It is because it is a place to park wealthy people’s money that is tax-free. It is sheltered, in other words.
