Mandeville, LAMike Church‘s daily Pile of Prep, chock full of the compleat and passionaye recap of the evnts that led to the start of the (Federal) Constitutional Convention of 1787. Read along with Mike’s historical viewpoint to help make sense of it all plus other [r]epublican stories used to perform the Mike Church Show on Sirius/XM Patriot channel 125. “The biggest fad in education today is the movement styled the Information Revolution. An extensive jargon is developing to serve this revolution’s uses. The revolution is supposed to result in an Informational Society; we are even instructed that this Informational Society will supplant the Knowledge Society. Practically speaking, all this jargon means that in the highly-developed industrial countries, a much more extensive employment of computing machines and robots is occurring. One of the grave failings of American schooling, at every level, is the eagerness to embrace the newest gadget (mechanical or intellectual) at the expense of the tested tools of learning. -Russell Kirk, “How to whp the modern world of computing”

FLASHBACK-This day, 227 years ago, the Federal Convention of 1787 was to begin. As Edmund Randolph had written to George Washington, over and over imploring his attendance (see “The Fame of Our Fathers” for that story dramatized)  “to the city of Philadelphia, on the second Monday, of May next…”

Brother can you spare a dime of EITC? Apparently the veracity of applications for non-profit status is not all that the IRS cannot keep track of. One quarter of all EITC are  ow discovered to be bogus-this is $$$ given away to the “poor” in lieu of them actually paying taxes. In other words this is part of the $$ handed out that keeps the masses fat, content and in continued production of illegitimate children

The Ice Age STILL Cometh: Obama Admin’s “doomsday report” on “climate fluctuation” is blown to smithereens by actual scientists and climatologists

Plans for a Satanic “Black Mass” at Hatvard lollyday along as if it’s just another day at free speech U. The desecration of the Eucharist and the mocking of the Holy Mass so publicly is but anotehr sign of the coming persecution, in the U.S., of Christians and the Church

ESPN thinks it played “Ellen” with first televised homosexual sports kiss but what it actually did was cause 7 year olds watching the draft to want to know why “the players are kissing each other, don’t they have wives?” Wives!? How does THAT get one-upped? A player on player “twerk” after a big-play? The same sense of morality that was offended when prime-time TV didn’t dare air kisses between the not-married is not even in existence much less able to muster outrage.

Senator Rand Paul demands that President Obama an Majority Leader Harry Reid release the secret memos written by Obama’s latest nominee to the Federal bench, David J Barron. BArron wrote the legal brief that justified Obama killing Anwaw al-Awlaki with a droner strike in Yemen. Paul is correct to demand a full accounting of Obama’s “kill-list” power and just where it comes from

So if Jake Plummer could tell the press that Time Tebow should “shut up already” with his “Jesus” talk (and religiosity in general) who will be the first to tell Michael Sam to “shut up already” with his “I’m gay and I’m out and you have to acknowledge me for it” talk? Is there a larger display of pure self-centered obsession than calling press-conferences to tell the world your preference of sex partners?

Glenn Greenwald warns the hoi polloi about the impending electioon of Slick Hilly (Hillary Clinton) as President “because she must be the first female President”. But wait, just as I have told you, Greenwald correctly identifies Hilly as a “neocon…f**ing war-hawk”. Proving the point again, that the “two party system” has produced ONE party and a monarchy.

Nomocracy: Kevin Gutzman wonders why Congress will be wasting its time allegedly “getting to the bottom of the Benghazi coverup” when the biggest infraction of all was the President’s unprecedented use of military force without Congress’s ok. We also learn that this is not a folly of recent creation  but actually began in the earliest days of Congres back in 1793

Nomocracy II: Is Edmund Burke the “conservative’s conservative” that we should hitch our intellectual wagons to? H. Lee Cheek reviews 3 books on Burke to try and produce an answer

DeceptiCONNED: National Review online columnist suggests that Emily Lett (the “why I filmed my abortion” star) should have not been so “profoundly lazy” and “walked 2 blocks to your local CVS to get a pack of condoms.” And there’s the rub, if you’re paying attention, the new, fake, Right, cannot bring itself to condemn the condemnable and instead offers up what I guess they believe are “lesser sins”.

First they came for the Mozilla CEO, then they came for the NBA basketball owner, then they came for the home improvement guys, The Benham Brothers on HGTV? Now, Catholics & other Christians cannot renovate homes on HGTV before swearing an oath to Throuples, SSM couples and depravity in general. The Benham’s statement on the matter is measured, thoughtful and yet in the spirit of martyrdom’s beauty. ““We were saddened to hear HGTV’s decision. With all of the grotesque things that can be seen and heard on television today you would think there would be room for two twin brothers who are faithful to our families, committed to biblical principles, and dedicated professionals. If our faith costs us a television show then so be it.”

So what exactly is the purpose of having a non-chaplain, chaplain in the military corps of chaplains? This is precisely what happens when you bring religious orders into the employ of the state without having the courage to proclaim that there is but 1 True God and his One True Church

FLASHBACK: Recall that James Madison was NOT a proponent of tax financed military chaplains and did not appoint any nor did he issue any “Thanksgiving proclamations” while President giving weight to the argument that the chaplains should be allowed but on their own dime, this ends the controversy tomorrow

Clyde Wilson wants to know why California doesn’t take its ban on the sale of Confederate flags and just secede already

THE FBI begins investigations of those who protested alongside Cliven Bundy in the now infamous Bundy/BLM land dispute. Of course, the boys at NSA will now happily provide all the “metadata” needed to connect dots and help the FBI assemble criminal cases against the “protestors”

Want the REAL, Constitutional based scoop on the BLM’s claims to NV ranch lands? My essay and audio feature will give you all the facts needed to learn of the abuse of power underway by the Federal government

DeceptiCONNED: The dreaded, “military gutting” Sequester of 2013 did exactly what I told you it would do to the Leviathan’s war machine & work force: NOTHING. Only ONE job was lost according to the GAO, ONE. Oh, but some makers of warfare devices had their hours cut and others had to carpool…. a small price ego pay to keep the planet at war and America as it’s War superstore

David Stockman, he of Reagan Budget Director fame (he quit in justified protest) lauds Walter Jones for surviving the Sara Palin endorsed, DeceptiCON hack that challenged Jones for that seat in NC

POLYAMORY ANYONE? I don’t want to say I told you so but I told you so. The continued assault on reason continues as THREE MA women “marry” bringing my prediction of “marriage” being defined ad hoc to life. Where does this end? Pray the Chinese cannot make guillotine blades

The “throuple” is now being fitted for the media celebrity coats our vapid Press is fitting them for now that “they are expecting”. Note the pink and teal accents on the story, exactly in the style of the videotaped human sacrifice (abortion) heroine’s story from Tuesday

Remember last week’s discussion about the woman who filmed here abortion and her then instant canonization to Sainthood by Cosmo magazine? Remember I pointed out that the frilly and lace, pink and teal highlights of the story  didn’t match the blood and guts of the abortion this woman was undergoing? Matt Walsh does lays this case and then some out for you, graphically speaking

SCOTUS refuses to hear lawsuit brought by journalist against the NDAA, meanwhile Congress refuses to alter the act, making it more likely that military detentions of American citizens will occur should there be a “trigger event”

The Cosmopolitan Magazine site proudly displaying the story of Emily’s videotaped execution of her baby (abortion).

Cosmo should hire this couple for their next cover spread to encourage the elderly dames to lose the walk-in-tub (thanks Joan Lunden) for the walk-on-the-wild-side on a Catholic Church lawn of all places. This country’s depravity knows no limits.

First they came for the agnostic in civil unions, then they came for the Knights of the Roundtable. Great Britain alters its code of heraldry to accommodate men marrying men in case they bring different swords and shields and family crests to the “marriage”

What has happened to the American entrepreneur? Well, he/she has decided that buying into the franchise version of the “mom and pop” is easier than opening a “mom and pop” meaning that laziness curve I am alsways talking about is hard at work.. again (wait, that’s an oxymoron isn’t it!?)

The Atlantic’s Noah Berlatsky (last time I questioned his work on Twitter he called me “mean”) tries to wade into the issue of O’Reilley’s condemnation of Beyonce of late but gives the O’ man way too much credit. There are genuine critiques of the singer that make age-old morality points about not just Beyonce but the entire flowing sewer that is our Anti-cult

One of the signs that the end is near is the coming of the Anti-Christ and his persecution. This statue of the Satanic “Baphomet” with smiling children looking up at him adoringly, fits nicely in that story arc. Will OK be forced by the Supremes to let the statue stand next to the Ten Commandments monument (see SCOTUS Incorporation Doctrine post above)

Even the Editors at the WaPo know what the real scandal over Libya is as now a new CIA report admits that the country is a haven for the terrorists McCain, Mrs. Clinton, Lindsay Graham, Kelly Ayotte et al said we had to kill Ghadaffi to expose!

RaimondoWe are repeating the history that led to WWI with the U.S. as the revolutionary loudmouth trying to bring the Russian Tsars down and usher in the malice that became Communism. The DeceptiCONS clamoring for Putin’s head have identified the wrong enemy, AGAIN. Why are they still in power?

Reporter writes “blah blah blah” on his notepad, as a quote, while interviewing a Tea Party candidate

VIDEO: Per my conversation about Beyonce’s lewd and pornographic music comes this lecture on Music and Its Influence On Culture – Few will listen and share because the indictment is near universal in these United States, that doesn’t make the lecturer wrong it makes the unrepenent viewer guilty

My Latest piece at the Daily Caller .”Robespierre’s rotting carcass and burning soul finally have something to smile about. Let’s hope it takes the Chinese a few months to mold, then sharpen, the blades on the guillotines they must surely be building for the American thought police who, no doubt, are already gearing up for another purge…”

Those who hail formerly of the Catholic Church and now of various denominations are beginning to see the problem created by these schisms as the denominational clergy, guided by various, changing interpretations of the Church’s ancien regime, clamour for solidarity on the Ten Commandments, applied to abortion. Souls are stirring in solemn reflection methinks

“The conservative ‘movement’ has failed”, so sayeth Gerald Russello at Nomocracy in Politics. Mr Russello is making the the argument that Russell Kirk made and that I have been echoing: the project to halt then convert progressives into conservatives has failed. The effort to make all facets of life, market “based” and thus subject to the state’s omnipotence has failed. When will “conservatives” realize the field is lost, the solutions are aged and well known and get about the business of implementing them?

I post a lot of writings on this page that might not be so easy to digest, the following review of Sovereignty: God, State, and Self. By Jean Bethke Elshtain by David Gordon is worth slogging through as you will encounter my recurring theme of late: Our future lies in our past acceptance of mystery (albeit with iPads) and law subordinate to God’s Law.

Q: Was the 14th Amendment ever ratified? A: No, and Forrest MacDonald has the proof.

Why is it a bad idea to have a standing army just laying around? CATO, the 18th century Whig, read by most of the Founders, explains as an Englishmen, meaning this school of thought comes from the conservative tradition the Founders inherited and defended

When you hear your “conservative” friends yodel on endlessly about the “Liberal Media” or the corrupt “MSM” as they are convinced this is a recent event, send them here to go read Mark Twain’s speech of 1873 about the “corrupt press”

Here’s an interesting work that I recently discovered “The Crowd” by Guztave Le Bron a fascinating study of how crowds control nations and what nations become control crowds. If you are into the whole video game virtual warfare thing you will enjoy this trailer for the next release of Call of Duty starring Kevin Spacey who gives a rousing speech on the  hypocrisy of the sheople

Rod Dreher is attacked as a “phony” conservative by someone named Ed Dryden for daring to call Sara Palin’s Sacrilege what it is and for questioning the blood lust of those who cheered it so lustily. This then brings another Pharisee wannabe, a Todd Kincannon down on Dreher. Read the whole post and pay close attention to how turtler of Christians, as Our Lord endured at the hands of pagan Romans, is no laughing matter.

There is no end to the parody Sara Palin is. Using a blessed Sacrament, baptism, to make a political joke used to be called sacrilege but from the same crowd that booed Ron Paul for quoting the Golden Rule (as a guide for foreign policy) it is now a standing ovation grabber.

“Nuremberg Barbie”, Sara Palin, is panned by Will Grigg for exactly the same reasons I question her sacrilege against Christ committed to a cheering throng of NRA “conservatives”

The Fame of Our Fathers: What makes a famous Founder famous and why are so many, once famous, now not known at all? The answer lies partly in the fickleness of any given age and what it needs to exalt itself, the rest comes from the Founders own pursuit of Fame as I chronicled in Fame of Our Fathers. Here’s an audio sample explaining “conditores imperiorum” and you can buy the 3 CD set there

King Dude:

Could you post Madison’s letter to Washington that you read on the air this morning?

As you read it, the impression I had was that “uniformity” among the several States was one of Madison’s motives for pushing for a national government.

The means to achieve this uniformity, which I believe Madison was also pitching, was to grant the national government lawmaking power in all matters and power to “negative” state laws.

Perhaps uniformity in areas like commerce, which could benefit all the several States, is reasonable, but did Madison consider any drawbacks from uniformity across the several States? The issue regarding the scale of the national government comes to mind here…
