Fox News’ Brett Baier to Christ “You’re No Pope Francis, Pal”

Jefferson_Revolt_T_shirt_displayMandeville, LA – I often toy with the idea of creating new terms for those who call themselves “Catholic” but reject the Magisterium (a $5 Latin word for “teaching”) of The Church, treating it like a value menu at Burger King. “I’ll have an irreverent Mass said in vernacular, Our Lord’s precious body handled like a Pringle™ chip by unconsecrated hands… placed in MY not consecrated hand… and a side order of  ‘group confession’ “. Historian Michael Davies made the point that any Saint of Orders, canonized since the 4th century, could have returned to anytime prior to 1967, attended a Catholic Mass anywhere on Earth and been able to serve it. We’ll save the discussion of the irreverence of the clergy and the laity when it comes to the SACRIFICE of Mass for another day but my subject tonight is related.

The same Saints from St Paul to St Padre Pio could return to a meeting of Catholics and been in total agreement with the Magesterium on homosexuality, contraception and divorce/marriage, not so much now. Witness Fox News anchor Brett Baier, he of Special Report fame commenting on the Magisterium and homosexuality after withdrawing from the Legatus Conference because the Catholics attending were.. well they were Catholic.

“I am a lifelong mass attending Catholic – I’m a lector at my parish. I consider myself to be in line with my Church on most things… [t]his isn’t about me. But, describing homosexuality as a ‘disorder’ and talking about ways to ‘cure’ people from it – does not seem to line up with the loving, accepting Church that I know,… [n]or does it match up with how Pope Francis has talked about the issue recently.”

Got that [r]emnant? Christ and his pupils, Sts Peter, Paul and John’s Magisterium, THE Magisterium, are no match for the “teachings” of the current Bishop of Rome. For the record Mr Baier, if you’d like to know what the Magisterium ACTUALLY says about how to treat not only adultery engaged homosexuals but adultery engaged heterosexuals, please witness scholar John Innis explaining the Church teaching in 2001.

Homosexual sex acts, even between people who could never consummate a marriage and who wish, at the time, to be committed to each other in a lifelong friendship, can never be marital.  To judge them morally acceptable – to condone them — is opposed to the good of marriage, a basic human good.  So they cannot reasonably be judged morally acceptable.”

But why quote a Notre Dame prof on the matter when we can go directly to the source, Jesus Christ from Matthew 19: 3-9

“And there came to him the Pharisees tempting him, and saying: Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? [4] Who answering, said to them: Have ye not read, that he who made man from the beginning, Made them male and female? And he said: [5] For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh. [6] Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. [7] They say to him: Why then did Moses command to give a bill of divorce, and to put away? [8] He saith to them: Because Moses by reason of the hardness of your heart permitted you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. [9] And I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery.”

Ever thus the purpose of marriage is pro-creation and marriage was made, by God, FOR man and woman. End… of …. story. But Baier and others who refute this part of the Magisterium aren’t just incurring the sin of sacrilege; because their acts are public and loudly beamed to millions of viewers and readers, they are now scandalous and soon to be, unfortunately, the remote cause of mortal sin. LOTS, of mortal sin.

I haven’t even said anything about openly defying Christ’s instructions to us. “And calling the multitude together with his disciples, he said to them: If any man will follow me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. [35] For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel, shall save it.” You wanna know why 54 million babies have been butchered since Roe? Why 45% of white women give birth to bastards while 73% of blacks do the same? Because, as Charles Murray has pointed out for 2 decades now, the elites refuse to take up their crosses and lead by example.

The Church is now in the midst of the greatest heresy She has ever faced, there are MILLIONS of “Catholics” denying the Magisterium, refusing to be soldiers in the Church Militant, pursuing scandal and thus causing scandal when they should be doing all Our Lady at Fatima warned us to do to come to the mortal defense of the Magisterium by being devotional parts of the Deposit of Faith.

It was just 3 weeks ago that the same media outlets now protesting the life expectancy of Legatus attendees were demanding our je suis Charlie pledges. And that if we want to “live in a free country” then we must sanction and defend ALL speech, no matter how repugnant, blasphemous or pornographic it is. It has become alarmingly apparent that the Gaystapo and their corporate media sycophants have no interest in defending “the freedom” of anyone who disagrees with them. If the Mohammedan hordes can see right through this shameful hyposcrisy, what do you think the “Deum de Deo, Lumen de Lumine, Deum verum de Deo vero” sees?

Mr. Baier’s shameful actions are testimony to the woeful condition of the Church today. Its most prominent “members” (I use quotation marks because a true member of Mother Church would not and cannot so easily abandon her) treat their alleged faith and religion not as a duty and mode of living but simply a hobby which is subject to all other influences for convenience.

Is there evidence of any true Christian martyrdom in “modern America”? I think publicising positive stories of those who, in a position of celebrity, refuse to be coerced and intimidated into abandoning the Church and our Blessed Lord will do more good than the endless examples of weakness.
