Senate Votes To Continue Killing Yemen’s Civilians But 27 Discovered They Have Souls

Mandeville, LA – The United States Empirical Senate voted 71-27 to continue funding and granting the American government’s approbation to the war-crimes being committed in Yemen by “our allies”, the House of Saud. I have long documented the saddest chapter in the history of the west since the genocide of the Catholics of the Vendee in 1794-95 France. That the American public has tolerated this with little resistance and 0.0 lament will cause us to be remembered by historians as the pagan-barbarians we have become. You probably won’t see in your local fish-wrap or your yahoo news feed next to the real-big-news of the Brangelina divorce but there were actually 27 votes against the U.S. backed genocide. Daniel Larison has been blogging on this atrocity for nearly 2 years now and continues his principled stand against the war-crimes:

“If hawks in the Senate were actually concerned about honoring our commitments and protecting “international order,” they wouldn’t be signing off on weapons sales to a government that has been committing war crimes with weapons acquired from the U.S., but clearly these are just talking points used to distract from their unconditional support of a bad client as its wages an atrocious war.”

Where’s the shame of “Christian America” for turning a blind eye to the ‘Murican warfare state supplying the weapons and intelligence to accomplish this? Where is the corrupt USCCB to intervene for good for a change and denounce this as what it is, a for-porfit genocide. God will not be mocked and save for the 27 souls, listed below, who voted nay, the U.S. Senate is now permanently illegitimate until it rescinds then atones. I am sad and embarrassed to have to currently admit I am a citizen of this empirical, soul-less “union”. As Andrew Sullivan put it:

“I haven’t given up, even as, each day, at various moments, I find myself giving in. There are books to be read; landscapes to be walked; friends to be with; life to be fully lived. And I realize that this is, in some ways, just another tale in the vast book of human frailty. But this new epidemic of distraction is our civilization’s specific weakness. And its threat is not so much to our minds, even as they shape-shift under the pressure. The threat is to our souls. At this rate, if the noise does not relent, we might even forget we have any.”
