Why Does Mary Stand With Planned Parenthood?

Mandeville, LA – The hapless New Orleans media was on full display last night in the U.S. Senate race “debate” between challenger Colonel Rob Maness and incumbent Mary Landrieu. Missing in action, again, was vapor-candidate Congressman Bill Cassidy. A seat in the Senate represents one of two Louisiana votes on $4 TRILLION worth of federal largesse per year yet there was hardly a question on that score. Each citizen of this state is now on the hook for $225,000 in federal debt, a number that increases every year Senator Landrieu remains in Mordor.

The local fish-wrap description of the debate included the line that “Landrieu hit her stride this debate” which I take to mean she got around to boasting of her propensity to spend other people’s money. Recall that last September, Senator Bailout “awarded” Slidell Memorial Hospital, a for-profit endeavor, a $28 MILLION get out of Katrina-bailout-debt-card… FREE. Meanwhile, Congressman Cassidy the visible-as-water vapor Republican candidate, continues to insult the intelligence of WhoDat conservatives by assuming they will take their voting instructions from Karl Rove and Fox News. That will guarantee another rubber-stamp vote for the war-hawk party’s never ending wars.

When the subject of ObamaCare came up “Stand with Mary” went demagogue-nuclear. “I don’t think anyone anywhere should have to watch a child die of cancer.” If she’s so concerned about children dying why does she vote in lock-step with Planned Parenthood? Besides, has this soul-less hack never heard of Our Lady of Lourdes? St Jude? Cristus St Patrick? 

Maness had the line of the night. “I’m running against an incumbent and [Cassidy] is being treated like an incumbent.” Bingo Colonel, but what do you expect from a pair of “statesmen” whose last original thought, was picking out their congressional-office drape colors?
