The Junkbond Tribute Drink
INGREDIENTS
Honey Syrup Recipe:
- 1 cup of your “local” honey
- 1⁄3 cup hot water
Cocktail Recipe:
- 3⁄4 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 3⁄4 oz. honey syrup
- 2 oz. of your favorite bourbon (I suggest Louisville’s own “Angels Envy”)First make the honey syrup.
Combine honey and hot water and stir until completely mixed. In a metal shaker, combine lemon juice, honey syrup, and bourbon. Shake vigorously and strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Float 1 oz of your favorite Islay Scotch on top. (I hope it’s LAPHROAIG) Garnish with a Rosemary sprig and candied ginger if that’s your preference.
